ระหว่างวันที่ 29–31 มกราคม 2569 นายเวทิต โชควัฒนา รองประธานสภาอุตสาหกรรมแห่งประเทศไทย (ส.อ.ท.) ในฐานะผู้แทนสภาที่ปรึกษาธุรกิจอาเซียน–ประเทศไทย เข้าร่วมการประชุมสภาที่ปรึกษาธุรกิจอาเซียน (ASEAN Business Advisory Council: ASEAN-BAC) ครั้งที่ 105 โดยมีผู้แทนจากสมาคมธนาคารไทย และสภาหอการค้าแห่งประเทศไทย เข้าร่วม ณ กรุงมะนิลา และเมืองบาตังกัส สาธารณรัฐฟิลิปปินส์
การประชุมสภาที่ปรึกษาธุรกิจอาเซียนครั้งนี้ จัดขึ้นโดยประเทศฟิลิปปินส์ในฐานะประธานสภาที่ปรึกษาธุรกิจอาเซียนเป็นครั้งแรกของปี โดยนายโฮเซ่ มา โจอี คอนเซปซิออน ที่ 3 (Jose Ma. “Joey” A. Concepcion III) ประธานสภาที่ปรึกษาธุรกิจอาเซียน ได้นำเสนอแผนการดำเนินงานของสภาที่ปรึกษาธุรกิจอาเซียน–ฟิลิปปินส์ ประจำปี 2569 ซึ่งมุ่งเน้นการขับเคลื่อนภายใต้ 4 เสาหลัก ได้แก่ ความครอบคลุม (Inclusivity) นวัตกรรม (Innovation) ความยั่งยืน (Sustainability) และการเพิ่มขีดความสามารถในการแข่งขัน (Competitiveness) เพื่อส่งเสริมการเติบโตทางเศรษฐกิจของอาเซียนให้เป็นไปอย่างสมดุลและสอดคล้องกับบริบทของโลกที่เปลี่ยนแปลง
พร้อมกันนี้ ประเทศฟิลิปปินส์ได้เสนอแนวทางและโครงการสำคัญที่ดำเนินการภายใต้ความรับผิดชอบของสภาที่ปรึกษาธุรกิจอาเซียน–ฟิลิปปินส์ อาทิ โครงการ The ASEAN Mentorship for Entrepreneurs Network (AMEN) เพื่อสนับสนุน MSMEs ให้มีศักยภาพในการแข่งขันและการเติบโต โครงการ ASEAN Food Security Alliance (AFSA) เพื่อเพิ่มขีดความสามารถในการผลิตอาหาร การบริหารจัดการความมั่นคงด้านอาหารในภูมิภาค รวมถึงการกระจายสินค้าให้เพียงพอในทุกสถานการณ์ ตลอดจนการขับเคลื่อนการดำเนินงานของคณะทำงาน ASEAN Businesswomen เพื่อส่งเสริมบทบาทของสตรีในเวทีธุรกิจระหว่างประเทศ
นอกจากนี้ ยังมีการประชุม JBC Meeting ครั้งที่ 27 ซึ่งเป็นการประชุมร่วมกับสภาธุรกิจที่มีความเชื่อมโยงกับอาเซียน อาทิ East Asia Business Council (EABC), US–ASEAN Business Council, UK–ASEAN Business Council และ GMS Business Council โดยมุ่งเน้นการเชื่อมโยงการดำเนินงานกับอาเซียนในระดับอนุภูมิภาคและระหว่างภูมิภาค เพื่อขยายความร่วมมือด้านการค้า การลงทุน และการพัฒนาเศรษฐกิจอย่างยั่งยืน
From January 29 to 31, 2026, Mr. Vethi Chokwatana, Vice Chairman of the Federation of Thai Industries (FTI), participated as a representative of the ASEAN Business Advisory Council – Thailand at the 105th ASEAN Business Advisory Council (ASEAN-BAC) meeting, which was attended by representatives from the Thai Bankers Association and the Federation of Thai Industries in Manila and Batangas, Republic of the Philippines.
This ASEAN Business Advisory Council meeting was hosted by the Philippines as the Chair of the ASEAN Business Advisory Council for the first time this year. Mr. Jose Ma. “Joey” A. Concepcion III, Chair of the ASEAN Business Advisory Council, presented the action plan of the ASEAN Business Advisory Council – Philippines for the year 2026, focusing on driving initiatives under four pillars: Inclusivity, Innovation, Sustainability, and Competitiveness, aimed at promoting balanced economic growth in ASEAN that aligns with the evolving global context.
In addition, the Philippines proposed key approaches and projects under the responsibility of the ASEAN Business Advisory Council – Philippines, such as the ASEAN Mentorship for Entrepreneurs Network (AMEN) project to support MSMEs in enhancing their competitiveness and growth, the ASEAN Food Security Alliance (AFSA) project to increase food production capacity and manage food security in the region, as well as ensuring adequate distribution of goods in all circumstances while driving the operations of the ASEAN Businesswomen Taskforce to promote the role of women in the international business arena.
Moreover, there was the 27th JBC Meeting, a joint meeting with business councils connected with ASEAN, such as the East Asia Business Council (EABC), US–ASEAN Business Council, UK–ASEAN Business Council, and GMS Business Council, focusing on linking operations with ASEAN at sub-regional and inter-regional levels to expand cooperation in trade, investment, and sustainable economic development.
