เมื่อวันที่ 22 มกราคม 2569 ดร.สมสิทธิ์ มูลสถาน ประธานกลุ่มอุตสาหกรรมป้องกันประเทศ สภาอุตสาหกรรมแห่งประเทศไทย (ส.อ.ท.) พร้อมด้วยคณะกรรมการและสมาชิกกลุ่มฯ เข้าพบและหารือกับผู้บริหารระดับสูงของหน่วยงานภาครัฐ เพื่อแนะนำบทบาท ภารกิจ และเนื่องในโอกาสสวัสดีปีใหม่ โดยการเข้าพบในครั้งนี้ ครอบคลุม 2 หน่วยงาน ได้แก่ 1. กรมการอุตสาหกรรมทหาร โดยเข้าพบ พลโท สุภาพ ถิระสุข เจ้ากรมการอุตสาหกรรมทหาร ณ ห้องราชภักดี ชั้น 2 กรมการอุตสาหกรรมทหาร และ 2. สำนักงานการบินพลเรือนแห่งประเทศไทย โดยเข้าพบ พลอากาศเอก มนัท ชวนะประยูร ผู้อำนวยการสำนักงานการบินพลเรือนแห่งประเทศไทย ณ ชั้น 15 สำนักงานการบินพลเรือนแห่งประเทศไทย
การเข้าพบในครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์หลักเพื่อแนะนำโครงสร้างการดำเนินงาน บทบาท และภารกิจของกลุ่มอุตสาหกรรมป้องกันประเทศ ภายใต้สภาอุตสาหกรรมแห่งประเทศไทย ซึ่งทำหน้าที่เป็นกลไกกลางในการเชื่อมโยงและส่งเสริมผู้ประกอบการไทย ตลอดจนหารือแนวทางความร่วมมือระหว่างหน่วยงานภาครัฐและภาคอุตสาหกรรมไทย ในการร่วมกันพัฒนาอุตสาหกรรมป้องกันประเทศ ซึ่งเป็นหนึ่งในอุตสาหกรรมเป้าหมายใหม่ของประเทศให้มีความเข้มแข็งและยั่งยืน
นอกจากนี้ ทั้งสองฝ่ายยังได้ร่วมแลกเปลี่ยนมุมมองเชิงนโยบาย และหารือถึงแนวทางการแสวงหาความร่วมมือที่เหมาะสมในอนาคต เพื่อสร้างระบบนิเวศที่เอื้อต่อการพัฒนานวัตกรรม การกำหนดมาตรฐานทางเทคนิค และการยกระดับขีดความสามารถของผู้ประกอบการไทยให้เป็นที่ยอมรับในระดับประเทศและนานาชาติ ทั้งนี้ การสร้างความสัมพันธ์อันดีระหว่างหน่วยงานที่เกี่ยวข้อง ถือเป็นจุดเริ่มต้นสำคัญในการผลักดันนโยบายไปสู่การปฏิบัติอย่างเป็นรูปธรรม
การเข้าพบและแนะนำบทบาทในครั้งนี้ นับเป็นก้าวสำคัญของการบูรณาการความร่วมมือระหว่างภาคอุตสาหกรรมและหน่วยงานกำกับดูแลหลัก เพื่อร่วมกันวางรากฐานการพัฒนาอุตสาหกรรมป้องกันประเทศของไทย ลดการพึ่งพาเทคโนโลยีจากต่างประเทศ และเสริมสร้างความเชื่อมั่นในศักยภาพของผู้ประกอบการและบุคลากรไทย อันจะนำไปสู่ความมั่นคงและความยั่งยืนของประเทศในระยะยาว
On January 22, 2026, Dr. Somsit Moonsatan, Chairman of the Defense Industry Group of the Federation of Thai Industries (FTI), along with committee members and group members, visited and discussed with senior executives of government agencies to introduce their roles and missions, and to extend New Year greetings. The visits covered two agencies: 1. The Department of Military Industry, where they met with Lieutenant General Suphak Tarasook, Director of the Department of Military Industry, at the Rajaphakdee Room, 2nd floor of the Department of Military Industry, and 2. The Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand, where they met with Air Chief Marshal Manat Chuanaprayoon, Director of the Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand, on the 15th floor of the Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand.
The main purpose of this visit was to introduce the operational structure, roles, and missions of the Defense Industry Group under the Federation of Thai Industries, which acts as a central mechanism to connect and promote Thai entrepreneurs, as well as to discuss cooperation between government agencies and the Thai industrial sector to jointly develop the defense industry, which is one of the new target industries of the country, to be strong and sustainable.
Additionally, both parties exchanged policy viewpoints and discussed how to seek appropriate cooperation in the future to create an ecosystem conducive to the development of innovation, the establishment of technical standards, and the enhancement of the capabilities of Thai entrepreneurs to be recognized both nationally and internationally. Creating good relationships between related agencies is considered an important starting point in driving policies towards concrete implementation.
This visit and introduction of roles mark a significant step towards integrating cooperation between the industrial sector and key regulatory agencies to jointly lay the foundation for the development of Thailand's defense industry, reducing dependence on foreign technology, and building confidence in the potential of Thai entrepreneurs and personnel, which will lead to long-term national security and sustainability.
