เมื่อวันที่ 17 ธันวาคม 2568 นายเวทิต โชควัฒนา รองประธานสภาอุตสาหกรรมแห่งประเทศไทย (ส.อ.ท.) พร้อมด้วยนายปณิธาน ปวโรฬารวิทยา รองเลขาธิการ ส.อ.ท. ร่วมกับคณะกรรมการร่วมภาคเอกชน 3 สถาบัน (กกร.) เข้าร่วมการประชุมแผนความร่วมมือระหว่างกระทรวงพาณิชย์แห่งราชอาณาจักรไทย และกระทรวงอุตสาหกรรมและการค้าแห่งสาธารณรัฐประชาธิปไตยประชาชนลาว (สปป.ลาว) ครั้งที่ 8 ระดับรัฐมนตรี ณ ห้องจันทรา โรงแรมสยามเคมปินสกี้ กรุงเทพฯ
การหารือครั้งนี้มีเป้าหมายเพื่อยกระดับความร่วมมือทางเศรษฐกิจไทย–สปป.ลาว จากความร่วมมือเชิงกิจกรรมไปสู่ความร่วมมือเชิงโครงสร้างที่มีความชัดเจน ต่อเนื่อง และสามารถติดตามผลได้ โดยภาคเอกชนของทั้งสองประเทศเห็นพ้องให้จัดตั้งคณะกรรมการร่วม กกร.–LNCCI เพื่อทำหน้าที่กำหนดทิศทางเชิงนโยบาย และเป็นกลไกหลักในการประสานงานกับภาครัฐของทั้งสองประเทศอย่างเป็นระบบ
นอกจากนี้ กกร. และ LNCCI ได้เสนอให้จัดตั้งคณะอนุกรรมการเฉพาะด้าน จำนวน 6 ด้าน ได้แก่ (1) การผลิตและห่วงโซ่อุปทาน (2) การค้าและการสร้างแบรนด์ (3) การท่องเที่ยวและบริการ (4) นโยบายและกฎระเบียบ (5) การพัฒนาดิจิทัลและปัญญาประดิษฐ์ (AI) และ (6) การเงิน เพื่อขับเคลื่อนการแก้ไขอุปสรรค พัฒนาโครงการความร่วมมือใหม่ และจัดทำแผนปฏิบัติการที่มีกรอบเวลาและผู้รับผิดชอบชัดเจน พร้อมรายงานผลความคืบหน้าต่อคณะกรรมการร่วมและที่ประชุมระดับรัฐมนตรีเป็นระยะ
ส.อ.ท. เชื่อมั่นว่าโครงสร้างความร่วมมือดังกล่าวจะช่วยเชื่อมโยงนโยบายของภาครัฐเข้ากับการดำเนินงานของภาคธุรกิจได้อย่างมีประสิทธิภาพ เสริมสร้างความเชื่อมั่นของภาคเอกชน และยกระดับความสัมพันธ์ทางเศรษฐกิจไทย–สปป.ลาว ให้ก้าวสู่การเป็นหุ้นส่วนทางเศรษฐกิจที่เข้มแข็งและยั่งยืนในระยะยาว
On December 17, 2025, Mr. Wethit Chokwatana, Vice President of the Federation of Thai Industries (FTI), along with Mr. Panitthan Pawarolathawit, Deputy Secretary-General of FTI, participated in the 8th Ministerial Meeting on Cooperation Plans between the Ministry of Commerce of the Kingdom of Thailand and the Ministry of Industry and Commerce of the Lao People's Democratic Republic at Chanthra Room, Siam Kempinski Hotel, Bangkok.
The aim of this meeting is to elevate Thai-Lao economic cooperation from activity-based collaboration to a clearly defined, continuous, and results-oriented structural cooperation. The private sectors of both countries have agreed to establish a Joint Committee between FTI and LNCCI to determine policy directions and serve as the main mechanism for systematic coordination with the governments of both countries.
Additionally, the JPPC and LNCCI proposed the establishment of six specialized subcommittees, namely: (1) Production and Supply Chain (2) Trade and Branding (3) Tourism and Services (4) Policies and Regulations (5) Digital Development and Artificial Intelligence (AI), and (6) Finance, to drive solutions to obstacles, develop new collaboration projects, and create action plans with clear timelines and responsibilities, along with progress reports to the Joint Committee and the Ministerial Meeting periodically.
FTI believes that this cooperation structure will help connect government policies with the operations of the business sector effectively, enhance private sector confidence, and elevate economic relations between Thailand and Laos towards becoming a strong and sustainable economic partnership in the long term.
