เมื่อวันที่ 3 ธันวาคม 2568 นายเกรียงไกร เธียรนุกุล ประธานสภาอุตสาหกรรมแห่งประเทศไทย (ส.อ.ท.) ให้เกียรติเป็นประธานกล่าวเปิดงาน “Workshop New Age Building Modularize Toward Sustainability” เน้นย้ำถึงวิสัยทัศน์ในการยกระดับผู้ประกอบการไทยด้วยอุตสาหกรรมสมัยใหม่ เพื่อรับมือกับความท้าทายจากการแข่งขันที่รุนแรงของตลาดต่างประเทศที่เข้ามาตีตลาดในปัจจุบัน ผ่านการผลักดันแนวคิด ‘การก่อสร้างแบบโมดูลาร์’ อย่างเต็มรูปแบบ ซึ่งจะเป็นกลไกสำคัญในการลดต้นทุน ลดขั้นตอน และลดเวลาในการก่อสร้าง ช่วยเพิ่มขีดความสามารถในการแข่งขันของประเทศให้ทัดเทียมตลาดโลก และบรรลุเป้าหมายด้านประสิทธิภาพสูงสุดในการดำเนินงานอย่างยั่งยืน ณ ส.อ.ท.
นางบัญชุสา พุทธพรมงคล ประธานคลัสเตอร์วัสดุก่อสร้าง ส.อ.ท. ได้กล่าวรายงานและวัตถุประสงค์ของการจัดงาน โดยชี้ให้เห็นว่า ระบบ Modularize ไม่เพียงเป็นโอกาส แต่เป็น “ความจำเป็นเร่งด่วน” ในการผลักดันให้อุตสาหกรรมก่อสร้างไทยเข้าสู่กลไก NET ZERO อย่างแท้จริง การจัด Workshop ครั้งนี้จึงถือเป็น “จุดเริ่มต้นที่สำคัญ” ในการระดมความร่วมมือจากทุกภาคส่วนที่เกี่ยวข้อง
สำหรับความคาดหวังของการจัดกิจกรรมครั้งนี้ คือ การผลักดันโครงการนำร่อง เพื่อสนับสนุนให้เกิดโครงการ Modular Construction อย่างเป็นรูปธรรมในรูปแบบ Sandbox เพิ่มขีดความสามารถในการแข่งขัน สร้างเวทีความร่วมมือ และเปิดโอกาสให้มีการแลกเปลี่ยนความรู้และประสบการณ์ระหว่างนักวิชาการ ภาครัฐ เอกชน และภาคประชาสังคม รวมถึงการขยายผลในวงกว้าง ผ่านมาตรการทางภาษี การสร้างตลาด และยุทธศาสตร์ด้านการจัดซื้อจัดจ้าง เพื่อเร่งขยายอุตสาหกรรมก่อสร้างของประเทศ โดยมีหน่วยงานที่ทำหน้าที่ขับเคลื่อนอย่างเชิงรุก พร้อมผลักดันให้ภาครัฐจัดตั้งหน่วยงานเฉพาะด้านเพื่อขับเคลื่อนเรื่องนี้อย่างจริงจังและต่อเนื่อง
การขับเคลื่อน Modularize ของ ส.อ.ท. ครั้งนี้ จึงสะท้อนถึงความมุ่งมั่นในการยกระดับอุตสาหกรรมก่อสร้างไทยให้เป็นกลไกสำคัญในการสร้างเศรษฐกิจใหม่ที่ยั่งยืน และตอบโจทย์ด้านสิ่งแวดล้อมในระดับโลกได้อย่างเป็นรูปธรรม
On December 3, 2025, Mr. Kriangkrai Thiananukul, Chairman of the Federation of Thai Industries (FTI), honored the occasion by presiding over the opening of the “Workshop New Age Building Modularize Toward Sustainability,” emphasizing the vision to elevate Thai entrepreneurs through modern industry to meet the challenges posed by the fierce competition from international markets currently entering the market. This is to push forward the concept of ‘modular construction’ in full scale, which will be a key mechanism to reduce costs, streamline processes, and shorten construction time, thus enhancing the country’s competitiveness to be on par with the global market and achieving maximum operational efficiency for sustainable practices at FTI.
Ms. Banjutha Phutthaprommongkol, Chairperson of the Construction Materials Cluster at FTI, presented the report and objectives of the event, indicating that the Modularize system is not only an opportunity but an “urgent necessity” to drive the Thai construction industry into a true NET ZERO mechanism. Thus, this workshop is considered a “significant starting point” to mobilize cooperation from all relevant sectors.
The expectations for this event are to promote pilot projects to support the tangible emergence of Modular Construction in a Sandbox format, enhancing competitiveness, creating a collaborative platform, and providing opportunities for knowledge and experience exchange among academics, government, private sector, and civil society. This includes broad dissemination through tax measures, market creation, and procurement strategies to accelerate the construction industry’s expansion in the country, with proactive agencies taking the lead to urge the government to establish specialized units to seriously and continuously drive this issue.
The FTI’s drive for Modularize reflects a commitment to elevate the Thai construction industry as a vital mechanism in building a new sustainable economy and addressing global environmental considerations effectively.
