เมื่อวันศุกร์ที่ 28 พฤศจิกายน 2568 นางพิมพ์ใจ ลี้อิสสระนุกูล ประธานสถาบันพัฒนาอุตสาหกรรมสร้างสรรค์ฯ สภาอุตสาหกรรมแห่งประเทศไทย (ส.อ.ท.) เจ้าหน้าที่สถาบันฯ พร้อมด้วยคณะทำงานด้านอัญมณี เข้าพบนายสุรศักดิ์ พันธ์เจริญวรกุล รัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงการอุดมศึกษา วิทยาศาสตร์ วิจัยและนวัตกรรม ณ ห้องประชุมรัฐมนตรี ชั้น 2 อาคารพระจอมเกล้า
การหารือครั้งนี้ สถาบันฯ ได้นำเสนอแผนงานยกระดับประเทศไทยให้เป็นศูนย์กลางอัญมณีโลก และมุ่งสู่เป้าหมายยอดส่งออกอัญมณี 1 ล้านล้านบาทภายใน 5 ปี โดยขอรับการสนับสนุนจากกระทรวง อว. ในการพัฒนาทักษะฝีมือแรงงาน (Upskill) ด้านอัญมณีอย่างเต็มที่ รวมถึงการพัฒนาศูนย์การศึกษาด้านอัญมณี เทคโนโลยี และนวัตกรรมให้สอดคล้องกับความต้องการของอุตสาหกรรม
รัฐมนตรีฯ ให้การสนับสนุนการพัฒนาทักษะฝีมือแรงงาน (Upskill และ Reskill) อย่างเต็มที่ พร้อมสนับสนุนงบประมาณเพิ่มเติม และเน้นย้ำว่าแรงงานฝีมือด้านอัญมณีเป็นอาชีพสงวนสำหรับคนไทย ซึ่งจะช่วยยกระดับรายได้และเศรษฐกิจของประเทศอย่างเป็นรูปธรรม นอกจากนี้ รัฐมนตรีฯ ยังสนับสนุนโครงการพัฒนาสถานศึกษาไทย 6 แห่ง ให้เป็นศูนย์กลางความเป็นเลิศด้านอัญมณีในภูมิภาค และสนับสนุนให้มหาวิทยาลัยบูรพาดำเนินโครงการพัฒนาเครื่องจักรและอุปกรณ์ทันสมัยเพื่อใช้ในการพัฒนาบุคลากร ส่วนประเด็นอื่น ๆ จะนำไปหารือกับภาคส่วนที่เกี่ยวข้องต่อไป
การหารือดังกล่าวถือเป็นก้าวสำคัญในการผนึกกำลังระหว่างภาครัฐและสถาบันฯ เพื่อยกระดับศักยภาพบุคลากร และขับเคลื่อนอุตสาหกรรมอัญมณีไทยสู่ความเป็นเลิศในเวทีโลกอย่างยั่งยืน
On Friday, November 28, 2025, Mrs. Pimjai Leeissaranukul, President of the Creative Industry Development Institute, Federation of Thai Industries (FTI), and officials from the Institute, along with a gem working group, met with Mr. Surasak Phanthacharoenwarakool, Minister of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation at the Ministerial Meeting Room, 2nd Floor, King Mongkut's Building.
During this meeting, the Institute presented a plan to elevate Thailand to be the world's gem hub and aimed for a gem export target of 1 trillion baht within 5 years, seeking support from the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation to fully develop workforce skills (Upskill) in the gem sector, as well as to develop gem education centers, technology, and innovations in line with industry needs.
The Minister fully supported the development of workforce skills (Upskill and Reskill) and promised additional budgetary support, emphasizing that skilled labor in the gem industry is a reserved profession for Thai citizens, which will significantly enhance the country's income and economy. Additionally, the Minister supported the development of 6 Thai educational institutions to be centers of excellence in gems in the region and encouraged Burapha University to implement projects for the development of modern machinery and equipment for personnel development. Other issues will be further discussed with relevant sectors.
This discussion represents an important step in strengthening collaboration between the government and the Institute to enhance personnel capacity and drive the Thai gem industry towards sustainable excellence on the global stage.
