On Tuesday, November 25, 2025, Mr. Surapong Paisitpatanapan, Advisor to the Chairman of the Automotive Industry Group and Spokesperson for the Automotive Industry Group of the Federation of Thai Industries (FTI), announced the production figures, domestic sales, and exports of automobiles and motorcycles in the country. In October 2025, a total of 9,393 electric passenger cars were produced, reflecting an increase of 1,265.26%, while 8,479 electric passenger cars were sold, an increase of 128.11%.

Production
The total number of vehicles produced in October 2025 was 135,685 units, an increase of 5.92% from September 2025 and an increase of 14.17% from October 2024.
From January to October 2025, a total of 1,211,486 vehicles were produced, representing a decrease of 2.84% from the same period in 2024.

Passenger Vehicles: In October 2025, 55,997 units were produced, reflecting an increase of 17.94% from October 2024, divided as follows:
• Internal Combustion Engine passenger cars: 24,507 units, a decrease of 24.84% from October 2024.
• Battery Electric Vehicles: 9,393 units, an increase of 1,265.26% from October 2024.
• Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicles: 682 units, an increase of 36.40% from October 2024.
• Hybrid Electric Vehicles: 21,415 units, an increase of 56.47% from October 2024. Total production of passenger vehicles from January to October 2025 was 451,710 units, accounting for 37.29% of the total production, a decrease of 4.74% from the same period in 2024, divided as follows:
• Internal Combustion Engine passenger cars: 208,827 units, a decrease of 30.84% from January to October 2024.
• Battery Electric Vehicles: 50,576 units, an increase of 530.15% from January to October 2024.
• Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicles: 16,484 units, an increase of 225.32% from January to October 2024.
• Hybrid Electric Vehicles: 175,823 units, an increase of 10.46% from January to October 2024. No passenger cars with a capacity of 10 tons or less and more than 10 tons were produced in October 2025, nor during the period of January to October 2025.
Trucks: In October 2025, a total of 79,688 units were produced, an increase of 11.67% from October 2024, and from January to October 2025, a total of 759,776 units were produced, a decrease of 1.67% from January to October 2024.

The one-ton pickup trucks produced in October 2025 totaled 78,386 units, an increase of 11.16% from October 2024, and from January to October 2025, a total of 751,418 units were produced, accounting for 62.02% of total production, which is a decrease of 0.83% from January to October 2024, divided as follows:

• Pickups: 117,050 units       decreased by 2.84% from January to October 2024.
• Double Cab pickups: 479,023 units     decreased by 4.28% from January to October 2024.
• Double Cab BEVs: 255 units    increased by 100% from January to October 2024.
• PPVs: 155,090 units        increased by 13.39% from January to October 2024.

Trucks under 5 tons and above 10 tons: In October 2025, a total of 1,302 units were produced, an increase of 53.72% from October 2024, while from January to October 2025, a total of 8,358 units were produced, a decrease of 44.09% from January to October 2024.

Exports 
In October 2025, a total of 82,603 units were produced for export, accounting for 60.88% of total production, a decrease of 5.86% from October 2024. During the period from January to October 2025, 791,297 units were produced for export, representing 65.32% of total production, down 8.19% compared to the same period in 2024.
Passenger cars: In October 2025, 20,509 units were produced for export, a decrease of 24.56% from October 2024, and from January to October 2025, a total of 175,496 units were produced for export, accounting for 38.85% of total passenger car production, down 31.66% from January to October 2024.
One-ton pickups: In October 2025, the production for export reached 62,094 units, an increase of 2.54% from October 2024, and from January to October 2025, a total of 615,801 units were produced for export, accounting for 81.95% of total pickup production, an increase of 1.77% from January to October 2024, divided as follows:

• Pickups: 64,973 units        increased by 26.79% from January to October 2024.
• Double cab pickups: 432,825 units    decreased by 2.47% from January to October 2024.
• PPVs: 118,003 units     increased by 7.21% from January to October 2024.

Production for domestic sales
In October 2025, 53,082 units were produced for sale domestically, accounting for 39.12% of total production, an increase of 70.68% from October 2024, while from January to October 2025, a total of 420,189 units were produced for domestic sale, accounting for 34.69% of total production, an increase of 9.16% from January to October 2024.
Passenger vehicles: In October 2025, a total of 35,488 units were produced for domestic sale, an increase of 74.87% from October 2024. From January to October 2025, 276,214 units were produced for domestic sale, accounting for 61.15% of total passenger car production, which reflects a 27.06% increase compared to January to October 2024.
One-ton pickups: In October 2025, the production for domestic sale reached 16,292 units, an increase of 63.57% from October 2024, and from January to October 2025, a total of 135,617 units were produced for domestic sale, accounting for 18.05% of total pickup production, a decrease of 11.13% from January to October 2024, divided as follows:

• Pickups: 52,077 units    decreased by 24.77% from January to October 2024.
• Double cab pickups: 46,453 units    decreased by 18.04% from January to October 2024.
• PPVs: 37,087 units      increased by 38.85% from January to October 2024.

           No passenger cars with a capacity of 10 tons or less and more than 10 tons were produced in October 2025, nor during the period of January to October 2025.
           In October 2025, 1,302 units of trucks under 5 tons and above 10 tons were produced, reflecting an increase of 53.72% from October 2024, while from January to October 2025, 8,358 units were produced, a decrease of 44.09% from January to October 2024.

Motorcycles 
In October 2025, a total of 209,161 motorcycles were produced, reflecting a decrease of 28.95% from October 2024. This includes fully assembled motorcycles (CBU) of 150,489 units, up 0.99% from 2024, and motorcycle components (CKD) of 58,672 units, a decrease of 59.64% from 2024.

The total production of motorcycles from January to October 2025 amounted to 2,068,635 units, an increase of 1.89% from 2024, which includes fully assembled motorcycles (CBU) totaling 1,665,431 units, up 5.05%, and motorcycle components (CKD) totaling 403,204 units, down 9.36% from 2024.

Sales
The domestic sales of automobiles in October 2025 totaled 47,032 units, a decrease of 2.73% from September 2025 and an increase of 24.78% from October 2024. Passenger cars and SUVs amounted to 31,192 units, accounting for 66.32% of total sales, an increase from the same month last year of 42.99%.
• Internal Combustion Engine passenger cars and SUVs: 9,504 units, accounting for 20.21% of total sales, a decrease from the same month last year of 17.80%.
• Battery Electric Vehicle passenger cars and SUVs: 8,479 units, accounting for 18.03% of total sales, an increase from the same month last year of 128.11%.
• Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle passenger cars and SUVs: 787 units, accounting for 1.67% of total sales, an increase from the same month last year of 246.70%.
• Range-Extended Electric Vehicle passenger cars and SUVs: 68 units, accounting for 0.14% of total sales, an increase from the same month last year of 100%.
• Hybrid Electric Vehicle passenger cars and SUVs: 12,354 units, accounting for 26.27% of total sales, an increase from the same month last year of 95.85%.
In terms of pickups, the sales totaled 10,084 units, a decrease of 7.45% from the same month last year, with 38 electric pickups (BEV) sold, whereas there were no sales the previous year. The sales of PPVs amounted to 3,450 units, an increase of 40.76% from the same month last year. Trucks between 5 and 10 tons totaled 1,282 units, increasing by 0.94% from the same month last year, while other types accounted for 986 units, a decrease of 21.75% from the same month last year. The total sales of motorcycles reached 133,706 units, reflecting a decrease of 0.55% from September 2025 and a decrease of 4.57% from October 2024.

From January to October 2025, automobile sales totaled 495,001 units, an increase of 3.92% from 2024, broken down as follows:
Passenger cars and SUVs: 319,583 units, accounting for 64.56% of total sales, an increase from the same month last year of 12.41%.
• Internal Combustion Engine passenger cars and SUVs: 106,791 units, accounting for 21.57% of total sales, a decrease from the same month last year of 9.41%.
• Battery Electric Vehicle passenger cars and SUVs: 89,984 units, accounting for 18.18% of total sales, an increase from the same month last year of 60.87%.
• Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle passenger cars and SUVs: 7,436 units, accounting for 1.50% of total sales, an increase from the same month last year of 295.53%.
• Range-Extended Electric Vehicle passenger cars and SUVs: 648 units, accounting for 0.13% of total sales, an increase from the same month last year of 100%.
• Hybrid Electric Vehicle passenger cars and SUVs: 114,724 units, accounting for 23.18% of total passenger car and SUV sales, an increase from the same month last year of 18.21%.
Pickup trucks totaled 117,272 units, a decrease from the same month last year of 14.68%, with 572 electric pickups (BEV) sold this year compared to no sales last year. REE pickups totaled 13 units, with no sales last year. PPV sales amounted to 34,810 units, an increase of 18.42% from the same month last year. Trucks ranging from 5 to 10 tons totaled 12,330 units, a decrease of 9.22% from the same month last year, while other types totaled 10,421 units, a decrease of 10.26% from the same period last year. In terms of motorcycles, total sales reached 1,449,052 units, an increase from January to October 2024 of 1.92%.

Exports
In October 2025, fully assembled vehicles were exported at a total of 83,064 units, reflecting a decrease of 3.48% from the previous month and a decrease of 1.51% from October 2024. The types of vehicles exported in October 2025 are as follows:
• Pickups: 47,377 units, accounting for 57.04% of total exports, an increase from 2024 of 3.17%.
• Electric pickups (BEV): 37 units, accounting for 0.04% of total exports, with no exports in 2024.
• Internal Combustion Engine passenger cars: 16,028 units, accounting for 19.30% of total exports, a decrease from 2024 of 26.58%.
• Battery Electric Vehicle passenger cars: 377 units, accounting for 0.45% of total exports, with no exports of BEV passenger cars in 2024.
• Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle passenger cars: 571 units, accounting for 0.69% of total exports, with no exports of PHEV passenger cars in 2024.
• Hybrid Electric Vehicle passenger cars: 5,359 units, accounting for 6.45% of total exports, an increase of 40.80% from 2024.
• PPVs: 13,315 units, accounting for 16.03% of total exports, an increase of 4.23% from 2024. The export value of vehicles stood at 53,209.85 million baht, a decrease of 4.52% from October 2024. However, the value of exports for engines and components increased as follows:
• Engines: 3,486.63 million baht, increasing by 4.50% from October 2024.
• Other automotive components: 17,659.23 million baht, increasing by 12.37% from October 2024.
• Automotive parts: 2,463.56 million baht, decreasing by 1.26% from October 2024.

Total export value for vehicles in October 2025, including engines, automotive parts, and spares, amounted to 76,819.27 million baht, reflecting a decrease of 0.59% from October 2024.

Motorcycles
In October 2025, motorcycle exports totaled 89,570 units (combined CBU + CKD), reflecting an increase of 19.09% from September 2025, but a decrease of 48.84% from October 2024, with a value of 5,429.85 million baht, down 17.26% from October 2024.

• Motorcycle components had a total export value of 195.06 million baht, reflecting a decrease of 27.23% from October 2024.
• Motorcycle parts had a total export value of 243.91 million baht, reflecting an increase of 4.75% from October 2024.

The combined export value for motorcycles in October 2025, including components and parts, amounted to 5,868.82 million baht, down from October 2024 by 16.92%.

In October 2025, the total value of exports for fully assembled vehicles, engines, other parts, spares, motorcycles, components, and motorcycle parts totaled 82,688.09 million baht, reflecting a decrease of 1.96% from 2024.

Fully assembled vehicles
From January to October 2025, a total of 772,095 fully assembled vehicles were exported, representing a decrease of 9.51% from the same period last year, divided as follows:
• Pickups: 475,019 units, accounting for 61.52% of total exports, a decrease of 2.38% from 2024.
• Electric pickups (BEV): 242 units, accounting for 0.03% of total exports, with no exports in 2024.
• Internal Combustion Engine passenger cars: 134,114 units, accounting for 17.37% of total exports, a decrease of 36.42% from 2024.
• Battery Electric Vehicle passenger cars: 3,505 units, accounting for 0.45% of total exports, with no exports in 2024.
• Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle passenger cars: 1,318 units, accounting for 0.17% of total exports, with no exports in 2024.
• Hybrid Electric Vehicle passenger cars: 43,642 units, accounting for 5.65% of total exports, an increase of 5.58% from 2024.
• PPVs: 114,255 units, accounting for 14.80% of total exports, a decrease of 0.09% from 2024. The export value of vehicles reached 515,763.21 million baht, a drop of 12.40% compared to January to October 2024, with details as follows:
• Engines accounted for 31,775.41 million baht, increasing by 7.39% compared to January to October 2024.
• Other automotive parts achieved an export value of 164,359.26 million baht, increasing by 1.65% from January to October 2024.
• Automotive spares accounted for 22,653.95 million baht, increasing by 2.28% from January to October 2024. The total export value of vehicles from January to October 2025, including engines, components, and spares, amounted to 734,551.83 million baht, reflecting a decrease of 8.44% from January to October 2024.

Motorcycles
From January to October 2025, motorcycle exports totaled 734,802 units (combined CBU + CKD), reflecting a decrease of 5.35% from 2024, with a total value of 51,243.18 million baht, also down 2.86% from 2024.
• Motorcycle components had an export value of 1,940.24 million baht, down 11.12% from 2024.
• Motorcycle parts had an export value of 2,221.97 million baht, increasing by 30.33% from 2024. The total export value for motorcycles from January to October 2025, including components and parts, amounted to 55,405.39 million baht, reflecting a decrease of 2.18% from January to October 2024.

From January to October 2025, the total export value of fully assembled vehicles, engines, other parts, automotive spares, motorcycles, components, and motorcycle parts amounted to 789,957.22 million baht, a decrease of 8.02% from 2024.

Newly Registered BEV Vehicles in October 2025 
In October 2025, newly registered battery electric vehicles (BEV) totaled 12,037 units, reflecting an increase of 80.98% from the same month last year, divided as follows:
• Passenger cars and various types of vehicles totaled 10,172 units, an increase of 108.02% from October 2024.
  o Passenger cars: 9,605 units
  o Vehicles with a capacity of up to 7 passengers: 552 units
  o Business service vehicles: 13 units
  o Sightseeing service vehicles: 2 units
• Pickups and vans totaled 32 units, a decrease of 20% from October 2024.
• Motorcycles totaled 1,803 units, a decrease of 5.93% from October 2024.
  o Personal motorcycles: 1,803 units
• Three-wheeled vehicles totaled 4 units, a decrease of 83.33% from October 2024.
