ส.อ.ท. ร่วมหารือ รมช.อุตฯ เดินหน้าพัฒนาอุตสาหกรรมไทยสู่มาตรฐานใหม่FTI Discusses with Deputy Minister of Industry to Advance Thai Industry Towards New Standards

On November 24, 2025, Mr. Kriangkrai Thiennukul, President of the Federation of Thai Industries (FTI), along with executives, welcomed Lieutenant Commander Yot Singh Liemlerd, Deputy Minister of Industry, on the occasion of his visit to meet and discuss with representatives from the industrial sector to exchange views on the development and promotion of the capabilities of the country's industrial sector at FTI.

The discussion focused on enhancing cooperation between the public and private sectors to elevate factory supervision, develop competitiveness, and drive the industry into the future, with the following key issues:

• Strengthening factory supervision mechanisms to comply with laws and standards

Supporting a whistleblower system and public-private cooperation, especially the network of provincial industrial councils, as well as driving the “Volunteer Ministry of Industry” policy to ensure transparency and safety in factory operations nationwide

• Promoting support policies and developing the industrial sector in all dimensions

Covering infrastructure, standard development, and enhancing the capabilities of entrepreneurs

• Collaborating to promote the use of Digital Transformation within industrial estates

In collaboration with the Ministry of Industry, FTI, and the digital industry group to encourage entrepreneurs to adopt digital technology to improve efficiency, production processes, and safety within organizations

• Enhancing the competitiveness of the Thai steel industry

This includes regulating the standards for steel structure products, increasing the use of recycled materials from old vehicles, and promoting a domestic steel recycling system to support the sustainable growth of the steel industry

• Supporting access to credit for the development of agricultural machinery

To assist farmers in upgrading and improving machinery for better efficiency, aligning with the goals for the development of the agriculture and upstream industry sectors

This meeting reflects a shared commitment to drive the Thai industry to be strong, responsive to changes, and advance towards becoming a modern industry with standards, innovations, and sustainable growth
