วันที่ 24 ตุลาคม 2568 นายญาณพล ลิมปนะโชคชัย ประธานสภาธุรกิจไทย–แอฟริกาใต้ และรองประธานคณะกรรมการสายงานต่างประเทศ สภาอุตสาหกรรมแห่งประเทศไทย (ส.อ.ท.) เป็นผู้แทนเข้าร่วมงานเลี้ยงรับรอง “G20 Diplomatic Briefing” โดยมี H.E. Mr. Darkey Ephraim Africa เอกอัครราชทูตสาธารณรัฐแอฟริกาใต้ประจำประเทศไทย เป็นเจ้าภาพจัดงาน ณ The Bangkok Club อาคารสาทรซิตี้ทาวเวอร์ กรุงเทพฯ
งานดังกล่าวจัดขึ้นเพื่อเป็นเวทีแลกเปลี่ยนความคิดเห็นระหว่างเอกอัครราชทูตจากกลุ่มประเทศแอฟริกาในประเทศไทย และผู้แทนภาคเอกชนไทยเกี่ยวกับแนวโน้มเศรษฐกิจโลก การค้า การลงทุน และประเด็นการพัฒนาที่ยั่งยืน ซึ่งมีความสำคัญต่อการเสริมสร้างความร่วมมือระหว่างประเทศในยุคที่เศรษฐกิจโลกกำลังเปลี่ยนผ่าน
ทั้งนี้ สาธารณรัฐแอฟริกาใต้จะทำหน้าที่เป็นเจ้าภาพจัดการประชุมสุดยอดผู้นำ G20 ประจำปี 2568 ภายใต้ธีม “Inclusive Growth for Sustainable Development” มุ่งส่งเสริมการเติบโตทางเศรษฐกิจที่ทั่วถึงและยั่งยืน พร้อมทั้งสร้างพันธมิตรระดับโลกเพื่อรับมือกับความท้าทายทางเศรษฐกิจและสิ่งแวดล้อมร่วมกัน
แม้ประเทศไทยยังไม่ได้เป็นสมาชิกอย่างเป็นทางการของกลุ่ม G20 แต่ได้มีบทบาทเชิงรุกในฐานะประเทศเศรษฐกิจเกิดใหม่ของภูมิภาคอาเซียน โดยร่วมผลักดันความร่วมมือกับประเทศสมาชิก G20 เพื่อส่งเสริมโอกาสทางการค้า การลงทุน และนวัตกรรมอย่างยั่งยืน
On October 24, 2025, Mr. Yanapol Limpanachokchai, Chairman of the Thai-South Africa Business Council and Vice Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Federation of Thai Industries (FTI), represented FTI at the reception for the “G20 Diplomatic Briefing,” hosted by H.E. Mr. Darkey Ephraim Africa, Ambassador of the Republic of South Africa to Thailand, at The Bangkok Club, Sathorn City Tower, Bangkok.
The event was organized as a platform for exchanging views between ambassadors from African countries in Thailand and representatives from the Thai private sector regarding global economic trends, trade, investment, and sustainable development issues, which are vital for enhancing international cooperation in an era of global economic transition.
The Republic of South Africa will host the 2025 G20 Leaders' Summit under the theme “Inclusive Growth for Sustainable Development,” aiming to promote inclusive and sustainable economic growth while building global partnerships to jointly address economic and environmental challenges.
Although Thailand is not yet an official member of the G20 group, it plays a proactive role as an emerging economy in the ASEAN region by promoting cooperation with G20 member countries to enhance opportunities for sustainable trade, investment, and innovation.
