วันอังคารที่ 14 ตุลาคม 2568 นายเกรียงไกร เธียรนุกุล ประธานสภาอุตสาหกรรมแห่งประเทศไทย (ส.อ.ท.) พร้อมด้วยนายทวี ปิยะพัฒนา รองประธานอาวุโส ส.อ.ท. นายอภิชิต ประสพรัตน์ รองประธาน ส.อ.ท. ดร.อนุกูล แต้มประเสริฐ ประธานกลุ่มอุตสาหกรรมการบินและอวกาศ นายสมยศ ชาญจึงถาวร ประธานสภาอุตสาหกรรมภาคตะวันออกเฉียงเหนือ พร้อมคณะกรรมการสภาอุตสาหกรรมภาคตะวันออกเฉียงเหนือ และ ดร.จิตรา แสงวัฒนาฤกษ์ ประธานสภาอุตสาหกรรมจังหวัดลพบุรี เข้าพบพลอากาศเอก เสกสรร คันธา ผู้บัญชาการทหารอากาศ เพื่อแสดงความยินดีในโอกาสที่ได้รับแต่งตั้งให้ดำรงตำแหน่งผู้บัญชาการทหารอากาศ และหารือแนวทางความร่วมมือระหว่างกัน ณ กองบัญชาการกองทัพอากาศ ดอนเมือง
การหารือมุ่งเน้นแนวทางความร่วมมือในการพัฒนาโครงการศูนย์ซ่อมอากาศยาน (MRO) สนามบินน้ำพอง จังหวัดขอนแก่น ซึ่งเป็นพื้นที่ศักยภาพด้านอุตสาหกรรมการบินในภูมิภาคตะวันออกเฉียงเหนือ รวมถึงการพัฒนาให้สนามบินน้ำพองสามารถรองรับการให้บริการด้าน Air Cargo และ Shuttle Flight ได้ในอนาคต เพื่อให้ตอบสนองและเชื่อมโยงกับความต้องการของตลาดแรงงานในอุตสาหกรรมการบิน ทั้งในปัจจุบันและอนาคต ตลอดจนเพื่อพัฒนาเทคโนโลยีขั้นสูงให้สอดคล้องกับแนวโน้มของอุตสาหกรรม และสนับสนุนนโยบาย S-Curve ของประเทศ

On Tuesday, October 14, 2025, Mr. Kriangkrai Thiennukul, Chairman of the Federation of Thai Industries (FTI), along with Mr. Tawee Piyapattana, Senior Vice Chairman of FTI, Mr. Apichit Prasoprat, Vice Chairman of FTI, Dr. Anukool Taempra-serth, Chairman of the Aviation and Aerospace Industry Group, Mr. Somyod Chanjungthawan, Chairman of the Northeastern Regional Industry Council, along with members of the Northeastern Regional Industry Council, and Dr. Jittra Saengwatanakrit, Chairman of the Lopburi Provincial Industry Council, met with Air Chief Marshal Seksan Kanthaa, Commander of the Royal Thai Air Force, to congratulate him on his appointment as Commander and to discuss potential collaboration at the Royal Thai Air Force Headquarters in Don Mueang.
The discussion focused on collaborative efforts in developing the Aircraft Maintenance Repair and Overhaul (MRO) center at Nam Phong Airport in Khon Kaen Province, which is a potential hub for the aviation industry in the Northeastern region. Additionally, there are plans to develop Nam Phong Airport's capabilities to support Air Cargo and Shuttle Flights in the future, aligning with the demands of the labor market in the aviation industry, both presently and in the future. This includes the advancement of high-level technology to meet industry trends and support the country's S-Curve policy.
