เมื่อวันที่ 6 ตุลาคม 2568 สำนักงานหลักประกันสุขภาพแห่งชาติ (สปสช.) นายแพทย์จเด็จ ธรรมธัชอารี พร้อมด้วยคณะ ร่วมประชุมหารือกับสภาอุตสาหกรรมแห่งประเทศไทย (ส.อ.ท.) โดยมีนางสาวเพชรรัตน์ เอกแสงกุล รองประธาน ส.อ.ท. และประธานคณะกรรมการกำกับฯ Made in Thailand (MiT) พร้อมกับ ดร.จิราภรณ์ วิริยะพงษากุล นายชัยวัฒน์ ชัยปณิธิพันธ์ กรรมการคณะอนุกรรมการกำกับฯ MiT ให้การต้อนรับ รวมทั้งผู้แทนกลุ่มอุตสาหกรรมเครื่องมือแพทย์ ยา สิ่งทอ การบิน และหน่วยงานสนับสนุนอย่างศูนย์ความเป็นเลิศด้านชีววิทยาศาสตร์ (TCELS) เข้าร่วม ณ ส.อ.ท.
สปสช. ในฐานะผู้จัดซื้อรายใหญ่ของระบบสาธารณสุขไทย มีงบประมาณกว่า 2 หมื่นล้านบาทต่อปี พร้อมแสดงจุดยืนสนับสนุน “สินค้านวัตกรรมไทย” และ “เปิดรับผลิตภัณฑ์ที่ได้รับการรับรอง MiT” เข้าสู่ระบบจัดซื้อโดยตรง หากมีคุณภาพและมาตรฐานเหมาะสม โดยเฉพาะสินค้าที่มีความจำเป็นทางการแพทย์ เช่น ยารักษาโรคมะเร็ง อุปกรณ์ผ่าตัดกระดูก หัวใจ และถุงทวารเทียม ซึ่งไม่เพียงแต่จะช่วยลดการพึ่งพาสินค้านำเข้า แต่ยังเป็นการสร้างความมั่นคงทางสาธารณสุขให้แก่ประเทศในระยะยาว
ด้านตัวแทนจาก ส.อ.ท. ได้สะท้อนเสียงของผู้ประกอบการที่ต้องต่อสู้กับความท้าทาย ไม่ว่าจะเป็นการแข่งขันด้านราคากับสินค้านำเข้า หรือกำแพงกฎระเบียบที่ทำให้การเข้าสู่ตลาดภาครัฐเป็นเรื่องยาก พร้อมเรียกร้องให้มีการปรับปรุงกลไกเพื่อสร้างความเป็นธรรมและเปิดโอกาสให้สินค้าไทยได้พิสูจน์คุณภาพ
นอกจากนี้ ที่ประชุมยังได้หารือถึงแนวทางความร่วมมือในอนาคต เช่น การจัดทำฐานข้อมูลสินค้าการแพทย์ MiT เพื่อส่งให้ สปสช. พิจารณานำเข้าสู่ระบบจัดซื้อโดยตรง การพัฒนา “Product Champion” ผลิตภัณฑ์ศักยภาพสูง รวมถึงการต่อยอดด้านนวัตกรรมทางการแพทย์ร่วมกับ TCELS เพื่อตอบโจทย์ความต้องการของผู้ใช้ และสอดคล้องกับทิศทางอุตสาหกรรมการแพทย์และสุขภาพในอนาคต
การประชุมครั้งนี้ถือเป็นจุดเริ่มต้นของความร่วมมือสำคัญระหว่างภาครัฐและภาคเอกชน เพื่อยกระดับอุตสาหกรรมการแพทย์ไทย เพิ่มโอกาสให้ “สินค้าที่ผลิตโดยคนไทย” ได้รับการใช้จริงในระบบสุขภาพของประเทศ และร่วมกันขับเคลื่อนเศรษฐกิจไทยให้เติบโตอย่างยั่งยืน
On October 6, 2025, the National Health Security Office (NHSO), led by Dr. Jadej Thammathatchari, along with his team, held a discussion meeting with the Federation of Thai Industries (FTI). The meeting was attended by Ms. Pecharat Ekasangkun, Vice President of FTI and Chairperson of the Made in Thailand (MiT) Steering Committee, along with Dr. Jiraphorn Wiriya Pongsa Kun and Mr. Chaiwat Chaipunithipan, members of the MiT Sub-Committee, who provided a warm welcome alongside representatives from the medical device, pharmaceutical, textile, aviation industries, and supportive agencies such as the Thailand Center of Excellence for Life Sciences (TCELS) at FTI.
NHSO, as a major purchaser within the Thai public health system, has an annual budget of over 20 billion Baht, and has expressed its commitment to supporting “Thai Innovative Products” and “welcoming MiT-certified products” into the direct procurement system if they meet appropriate quality and standards. This applies particularly to medical necessities such as cancer treatment drugs, orthopedic surgical equipment, cardiac devices, and ostomy bags. This initiative not only aims to reduce dependence on imported products but also to enhance the long-term stability of public health within the country.
The representatives from FTI reflected the voices of entrepreneurs who are facing challenges including price competition with imported products and regulatory barriers that make it difficult to enter the public procurement market. They advocated for improvements in mechanisms to create fairness and provide opportunities for Thai products to prove their quality.
Additionally, the meeting discussed future collaborative approaches, such as creating a database of MiT medical products for NHSO's consideration for direct procurement, developing “Product Champions” for high-potential products, and advancing medical innovations in collaboration with TCELS to meet user demands and align with the future direction of the medical and health industry.
This meeting marks the beginning of an important collaboration between the public and private sectors to elevate the Thai medical industry, increasing opportunities for “products produced by Thais” to be utilized within the country's health system, and collaboratively driving Thailand's economy towards sustainable growth.
