เมื่อวันที่ 18 กันยายน 2568 กลุ่มอุตสาหกรรมเทคโนโลยีชีวภาพ สภาอุตสาหกรรมแห่งประเทศไทย (ส.อ.ท.) จัดสัมมนา “Driving Innovation through the Thailand Probiotics Consortium” ภายในงาน Vitafoods Asia 2025 ณ ศูนย์การประชุมแห่งชาติสิริกิติ์ โดยมี ดร.ภก.ณัฐพศุตม์ ภัทธิราสินสิริ ประธานกลุ่มอุตสาหกรรมเทคโนโลยีชีวภาพ ส.อ.ท. กล่าวต้อนรับผู้เข้าร่วมงาน
งานนี้ได้รับเกียรติจากนายเกรียงไกร เธียรนุกุล ประธาน ส.อ.ท. เป็นประธานเปิดงาน พร้อมด้วยแขกผู้มีเกียรติ ได้แก่ เภสัชกรเลิศชาย เลิศวุฒิ รองเลขาธิการคณะกรรมการอาหารและยา
นายวิชัย ทองแตง ประธานมูลนิธิหนึ่งน้ำใจ One Love Foundation และนายนาคาญ์ ทวิชาวัฒน์ ประธานคลัสเตอร์อุตสาหกรรมสุขภาพและความงาม ส.อ.ท.
สัมมนาครั้งนี้ เกิดจากความร่วมมือของหลายหน่วยงาน ทั้งสำนักงานคณะกรรมการอาหารและยา ศูนย์พันธุวิศวกรรมและเทคโนโลยีชีวภาพแห่งชาติ ศูนย์นาโนเทคโนโลยีแห่งชาติ สมาคมเทคโนโลยีชีวภาพแห่งประเทศไทย ศูนย์ความเป็นเลิศด้านชีววิทยาศาสตร์ สำนักงานนวัตกรรมแห่งชาติ รวมถึงภาคเอกชนและพันธมิตรอื่น ๆ โดยมีเป้าหมายหลัก คือ การยกระดับอุตสาหกรรมโพรไบโอติกไทย โดยใช้จุลินทรีย์สายพันธุ์ไทยในการสร้างนวัตกรรมผลิตภัณฑ์ เพิ่มศักยภาพการแข่งขัน และสร้างมูลค่าเพิ่มให้ทรัพยากรชีวภาพของประเทศ
นายเกรียงไกร กล่าวว่า ตลาดโพรไบโอติกทั่วโลกและในไทยมีมูลค่าสูงและเติบโตต่อเนื่อง โดยเฉพาะในกลุ่มอาหารฟังก์ชัน (Functional Food) เนื่องจากผู้บริโภคหันมาใส่ใจสุขภาพเชิงป้องกันมากขึ้น
แม้ไทยจะมีการผลิตโพรไบโอติกในประเทศ แต่ยังต้องพึ่งพาการนำเข้าที่มีราคาสูง ดังนั้น ส.อ.ท. จึงผลักดันโครงการประกวดผลิตภัณฑ์โพรไบโอติกสายพันธุ์ไทย ผ่านกลไก “First Industries” และ “Next-Gen Industries” พร้อมนโยบาย “4 GO” ได้แก่ Go Digital & AI, Go Innovation, Go Global
และ Go Green
นอกจากนี้ ยังจัดตั้งคลัสเตอร์อุตสาหกรรมสุขภาพและความงาม และผลักดัน 8 ผลิตภัณฑ์เทคโนโลยีชีวภาพเป้าหมาย เช่น Functional Food รวมถึงริเริ่มโครงการ Smart Agriculture Industry (SAI) เพื่อยกระดับภาคการเกษตร
ด้าน ดร.ภก.ณัฐพศุตม์ ภัทธิราสินสิริ กล่าวเสริมว่า Thailand Probiotics Consortium เป็นพื้นที่ความร่วมมือระหว่างผู้ผลิต นักวิจัย และนักลงทุน เพื่อผลักดันนวัตกรรมโพรไบโอติกสู่การใช้เชิงพาณิชย์ในอุตสาหกรรมอาหาร เครื่องดื่ม สุขภาพ และเวชสำอาง และเชื่อว่า ความร่วมมือครั้งนี้จะช่วยให้ประเทศไทยก้าวขึ้นเป็น ศูนย์กลางนวัตกรรมโพรไบโอติกในอาเซียน และสร้างเศรษฐกิจที่เติบโตมั่นคงภายใต้มาตรฐานสากล
ภายในงานมีการบรรยายและแลกเปลี่ยนความรู้จากผู้เชี่ยวชาญหลายสาขา ครอบคลุมทั้งมิติทางเศรษฐกิจ งานวิจัยและนวัตกรรม กฎระเบียบด้านความปลอดภัย รวมถึงโอกาสการต่อยอดเชิงพาณิชย์และการขยายสู่ตลาดโลก
งานสัมมนาครั้งนี้ ไม่เพียงเป็นเวทีให้ความรู้ แต่ยังเป็นจุดเริ่มต้นของการสร้าง ระบบนิเวศอุตสาหกรรมโพรไบโอติกไทยที่ยั่งยืน และปูทางสู่การเป็นผู้นำด้านนวัตกรรมโพรไบโอติกในภูมิภาคอาเซียน
On September 18, 2025, the Biotechnology Industry Group of the Federation of Thai Industries (FTI) held the seminar “Driving Innovation through the Thailand Probiotics Consortium” at the Vitafoods Asia 2025 event at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center, where Dr. Nattapassut Patthirasinsiri, Chairman of the Biotechnology Industry Group of FTI, welcomed the attendees.
The event was honored by Mr. Kriangkrai Thiennukul, President of FTI, who presided over the opening ceremony, along with esteemed guests including Pharmacist Lertchai Lertwut, Deputy Secretary General of the Food and Drug Administration.
Mr. Wichai Thongtang, Chairman of the One Love Foundation, and Mr. Nakarn Twichawat, Chairman of the Health and Beauty Industry Cluster of FTI.
This seminar was made possible through the cooperation of several agencies, including the Food and Drug Administration, the National Center for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology, the National Nanotechnology Center, the Biotechnology Society of Thailand, the Center of Excellence in Life Sciences, the National Innovation Agency, as well as private sectors and other partners. The main goal is to elevate the Thai probiotics industry by utilizing Thai microbial strains to create innovative products, enhance competitiveness, and generate added value from the country's biological resources.
Mr. Kriangkrai stated that the global and Thai probiotics market is substantial and continues to grow, particularly in the functional food sector, as consumers increasingly focus on preventive health.
Although Thailand has domestic probiotic production, it still relies on costly imports. Therefore, FTI is promoting a competition for Thai probiotic products through the “First Industries” and “Next-Gen Industries” frameworks, along with the “4 GO” policy, which includes Go Digital & AI, Go Innovation, Go Global, and Go Green.
Moreover, an industry cluster for health and beauty has been established, and eight target biotechnology products are being promoted, such as functional food, along with the initiation of the Smart Agriculture Industry (SAI) project to elevate the agricultural sector.
Dr. Nattapassut Patthirasinsiri further emphasized that the Thailand Probiotics Consortium serves as a collaborative space for producers, researchers, and investors to drive probiotics innovation into commercial use within the food, beverage, health, and cosmetic industries, believing that this collaboration will help position Thailand as a hub for probiotics innovation in ASEAN and cultivate a stable growth economy under international standards.
The seminar featured lectures and knowledge exchanges from various experts, covering economic aspects, research and innovation issues, safety regulations, as well as opportunities for commercial expansion and access to global markets.
This seminar not only serves as a knowledge-sharing platform but also marks the beginning of establishing a sustainable Thai probiotics industry ecosystem, paving the way for leadership in probiotics innovation within the ASEAN region.
