เมื่อวันที่ 20 สิงหาคม 2568 นายเกรียงไกร เธียรนุกุล ประธานสภาอุตสาหกรรมแห่งประเทศไทย (ส.อ.ท.) ร่วมกับนายอิศเรศ รัตนดิลก ณ ภูเก็ต รองประธาน ส.อ.ท. พร้อมกับประธานกลุ่มอุตสาหกรรมที่เกี่ยวข้อง ให้การต้อนรับพลเอกวัฒนา ฉัตรรัตนแสง ผู้อำนวยการศูนย์การอุตสาหกรรมป้องกันประเทศและพลังงานทหาร กรมการพลังงานทหาร (ศอพท.) และคณะ เพื่อหารือแนวทางการส่งเสริมและพัฒนาอุตสาหกรรมป้องกันประเทศของไทย ณ ส.อ.ท.
การหารือดังกล่าว ศอพท. ได้นำเสนอแนวทางในการพัฒนาอุตสาหกรรมป้องกันประเทศ 3 มาตรการหลัก ได้แก่
1. มาตรการส่งเสริมการใช้ผลิตภัณฑ์อุตสาหกรรมป้องกันประเทศภายในประเทศ
2. มาตรการส่งเสริมการใช้นโยบาย Offset
3. การส่งเสริมส่งออกผลิตภัณฑ์อุตสาหกรรมป้องกันประเทศไปยังต่างประเทศ
เพื่อเป็นการยกระดับขีดความสามารถทางการทหารและผู้ประกอบการภายในประเทศตลอดจนผลประโยชน์ต่อระบบเศรษฐกิจโดยรวม
ส.อ.ท. มุ่งเน้นการส่งเสริมอุตสาหกรรมด้วยแนวทาง 4Go (Go Digital&Ai, Go Innovation, Go Global และ Go Green) ภายใต้นโยบาย ONE FTI มีการสนับสนุนการให้เกิดการยกระดับอุตสาหกรรมสู่อุตสาหกรรมแห่งอนาคต (Next-Gen Industry) เพื่อสร้างเครื่องยนต์ใหม่ในการขับเคลื่อนเศรษฐกิจไทย ซึ่งอุตสาหกรรมป้องกันประเทศ (Defense) ถือเป็นอุตสาหกรรมเป้าหมาย (New S-Curves Industries) ที่จะเป็นการเพิ่มนวัตกรรมในภาคอุตสาหกรรม และมีมูลค่าทางเศรษฐกิจสูง ตลอดจนการส่งเสริมการ Parts Transform อุตสาหกรรมชิ้นส่วนยานยนต์ สู่อุตสาหกรรมป้องกันประเทศ อีกทั้งยังเป็นการส่งเสริมผู้ประกอบการภายในประเทศผ่านโครงการ MiT (Made in Thailand)
ส.อ.ท. และ ศอพท. เห็นพ้องร่วมกันและตกลงที่จะขับเคลื่อนแนวทางดังกล่าวให้เกิดผลเป็นรูปธรรม โดยในขณะนี้ ส.อ.ท. กำลังอยู่ในระหว่างการหารือกับหน่วยงานที่เกี่ยวข้อง เพื่อดำเนินการจัดตั้ง "กลุ่มอุตสาหกรรมป้องกันประเทศ" ขึ้นภายใต้การดูแลของส.อ.ท. อย่างเป็นทางการต่อไป เพื่อเป็นกลไกสำคัญในการพัฒนาอุตสาหกรรมแห่งอนาคตอย่างยั่งยืน
On August 20, 2025, Mr. Kiangkray Theeranukul, Chairman of the Federation of Thai Industries (FTI), together with Mr. Isares Ratnadilok na Phuket, Vice Chairman of FTI, along with the chairpersons of related industrial groups, welcomed General Wattanachatrattanasang, Director of the Defense Industry and Military Energy Center, Ministry of Military Energy (DTI), and his delegation to discuss ways to promote and develop Thailand's defense industry at FTI.
During the discussion, DTI presented three main measures for the development of the defense industry:
1. Measures to promote the use of domestic defense industry products
2. Measures to promote the use of Offset policies
3. Promotion of export of defense industry products to foreign countries
to enhance military capabilities and domestic operators as well as benefits to the overall economy.
FTI focuses on promoting industries through the 4Go approach (Go Digital&Ai, Go Innovation, Go Global, and Go Green) under the ONE FTI policy, supporting the elevation of industries to future industries (Next-Gen Industry) to create a new engine for driving the Thai economy. The defense industry (Defense) is regarded as a target industry (New S-Curve Industries) that will increase innovation in the industrial sector and has high economic value, as well as promoting the transformation of the automotive parts industry to the defense industry. Additionally, it will promote domestic operators through the MiT (Made in Thailand) initiative.
FTI and DTI mutually agreed and decided to drive these approaches to tangible results. Currently, FTI is in discussions with relevant agencies to establish a "Defense Industry Group" officially under the auspices of FTI, which will serve as a key mechanism in developing sustainable future industries.
