ส.อ.ท. เปิดหลักสูตร “ผู้นำด้านการบริหารจัดการน้ำ รุ่นที่ 10” ปั้นผู้นำรุ่นใหม่ ขับเคลื่อนความยั่งยืนด้านน้ำFTI Launches the “Water Leadership Program” Class 10 to Cultivate New Leaders for Water Sustainability

On August 15, 2025, the Institute of Water and Sustainable Environmental Management of the Federation of Thai Industries (FTI) in collaboration with governmental and private sector partner agencies officially launched the “Water Leadership Program” Class 10 at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center. Senior executives from both the public and private sectors participated in the training to develop new leaders with comprehensive knowledge, understanding, and skills in water resource management to sustainably address the country's water challenges.

Dr. Chanapoom Phumi, Vice Chairman of the Federation of Thai Industries (FTI) and President of the Institute of Water and Sustainable Environmental Management, emphasized the importance of developing leaders at all levels who possess the knowledge, skills, and vision necessary to address water issues comprehensively, both in terms of policy, technology, and collaboration across all sectors.

“Although Thailand has considerable experience in water management, new challenges arising from climate change, increasing water demand, and structural limitations remain critical issues that require new leaders who are ready to adapt, see the big picture, and foster cooperation at all levels for a sustainable future,” Dr. Chanapoom stated.
The Water Leadership Program is being held consecutively as Class 10, with a training duration of 3 months, comprising a total of 9 sessions. The content covers both policy, technology, and practical implementation, including:

•  Rain forecasting and impacts from weather
•  Integrated water allocation
•  Water management technologies
•  Case studies from both domestic and international contexts
•  Networking activities and collaboration sharing

This program is organized in cooperation with the Institute of Water and Sustainable Environmental Management of the Federation of Thai Industries and 9 partner agencies involved in water management, including the Eastern Economic Corridor Policy Office (EECO), the Water Resources Information Center (Public Organization), the Meteorological Department, the Royal Irrigation Department, the Department of Water Resources, the Department of Groundwater Resources, the Industrial Estate Authority of Thailand, the Thai Industrial Estates Association and partners, and the Pollution Control Department, along with support from the Office of National Water Resources (ONWR), the Department of Industrial Works, and leading private sector partners who will share knowledge, technology, and real experiences throughout the course.

The Federation of Thai Industries (FTI) believes that the Water Leadership Program will be a vital mechanism for developing leaders capable of driving change at both local and policy levels. With a systemic perspective and innovative thinking, this program aims to elevate the country’s water management capacity towards sustainable development goals.
