วันนี้ (11 กรกฎาคม 2568) นายเกรียงไกร เธียรนุกุล ประธานสภาอุตสาหกรรมแห่งประเทศไทย (ส.อ.ท.) พร้อมด้วยนายอภิชิต ประสพรัตน์ รองประธาน ส.อ.ท. ร่วมคณะกับคณะกรรมการร่วมภาคเอกชน 3 สถาบัน (กกร.). เข้าพบ ดร.เศรษฐพุฒิ สุทธิวาทนฤพุฒิ ผู้ว่าการธนาคารแห่งประเทศไทย (ธปท.) เพื่อแลกเปลี่ยนความเห็น ข้อเสนอแนะ และสร้างความร่วมมือในการเชื่อมโยงข้อมูลในการวิเคราะห์เศรษฐกิจ ประเมินผลกระทบจากภาษีสหรัฐฯ ในแต่ละภาคส่วน การแก้ไขปัญหาสวมสิทธิ์ส่งออก รวมถึงพิจารณาแนวทางการปรับโครงสร้างอุตสาหกรรม เพื่อสร้างมูลค่าเพิ่ม (Value Added) ในประเทศ และยกระดับขีดความสามารถในการผลิตของไทย (Competitiveness) ณ ธนาคารแห่งประเทศไทย สำนักงานใหญ่
นายเกรียงไกร ได้นำเสนอภาพรวมผลกระทบจากภาษีนำเข้าสหรัฐฯ ที่ 36% ที่ส่งผลต่อขีดความสามารถในการแข่งขันของไทยในตลาดสหรัฐฯ โดยเฉพาะเมื่อเปรียบเทียบอัตราภาษีกับประเทศคู่แข่งในภูมิภาค เช่น เวียดนาม ฟิลิปปินส์ เป็นต้น รวมทั้งได้สะท้อนปัญหาการสวมสิทธิ์สินค้าไทยส่งออกไปยังสหรัฐฯ ที่มีแนวโน้มสูงขึ้นในช่วงที่ผ่านมา ซึ่งส่วนหนึ่งมาจากปัญหาหลักนิติธรรม (Rule of Law) การบังคับใช้กฎหมาย และปัญหาคอรัปชั่น
นอกจากนี้ นายเกรียงไกร ยังได้แสดงความกังวลต่อผลกระทบจากภาษีนำเข้าสหรัฐฯ ที่สูงกว่าประเทศคู่แข่ง ทั้งผลกระทบต่อ GDP การจ้างงาน และการลงทุนโดยตรงจากต่างประเทศ (FDI) ในอนาคต
ทั้งนี้ ธนาคารแห่งประเทศไทย (ธปท.) จะร่วมกับภาคเอกชนในการดำเนินการแลกเปลี่ยนและเชื่อมโยงข้อมูลสำหรับนำไปวิเคราะห์ประเมินผลกระทบจากภาษีนำเข้าสหรัฐฯ เพื่อนำไปสู่การจัดทำนโยบายช่วยเหลือในแต่ละภาคส่วน รวมทั้งยังเห็นชอบสนับสนุนการจัดทำข้อเสนอ White paper มาตรการช่วยเหลือและแก้ไขปัญหาทางเศรษฐกิจ ตลอดจนการเตรียมความพร้อมในการเปลี่ยนผ่านของภาคธุรกิจ (Transformation) เพื่อนำเสนอภาครัฐและภาคสาธารณะต่อไป โดยจะแบ่งข้อเสนอเป็น 2 ส่วน คือ 1) ข้อเสนอระยะสั้น (Quick Win) และ 2) ข้อเสนอระยะยาว นอกจากนี้ ธปท. จะรับประเด็นในเรื่องค่าเงินบาทที่ส่งผลกระทบต่อผู้ส่งออกไปพิจารณาแนวทางดูแลต่อไปอีกด้วย
Today (July 11, 2025), Mr. Krea-ngai Thiennukul, Chairman of the Federation of Thai Industries (FTI), along with Mr. Apichit Prasoprat, Vice Chairman of FTI, joined a delegation with the Joint Standing Committee on Commerce, Industry and Banking (JSCCIB). They met with Dr. Sethaput Suthiwatanasumrit, Governor of the Bank of Thailand (BoT), to exchange opinions, suggestions, and build cooperation to connect data for economic analysis, assess the impacts of U.S. taxes on various sectors, address issues of export rights abuse, and consider measures for industrial restructuring to create added value in the country and enhance Thailand's competitiveness at the Bank of Thailand Headquarters.
Mr. Krea-ngai presented an overview of the impact of the 36% U.S. import tax on Thailand's competitiveness in the U.S. market, especially when compared to tax rates of regional competitors such as Vietnam and the Philippines. He also highlighted the increasing trend of Thai export goods being misrepresented in the U.S., which is partly due to significant issues surrounding the rule of law, law enforcement, and corruption.
Additionally, Mr. Krea-ngai expressed concerns over the higher U.S. import tax's effects compared to competing countries, such as its impact on GDP, employment, and future foreign direct investment (FDI).
The Bank of Thailand (BoT) will collaborate with the private sector in exchanging and connecting data to analyze the impacts of U.S. import taxes, aiming to develop policy recommendations for various sectors. It also agreed to support the development of a White Paper outlining assistance measures and solutions for economic issues, as well as preparations for business transformation to be presented to the government and the public. The proposals will be divided into two parts: 1) Short-term proposals (Quick Win) and 2) Long-term proposals. Furthermore, the BoT will also address the issue of the Thai Baht's impact on exporters.
