เมื่อวันที่ 18 มิถุนายน 2568 หน่วยบริหารและจัดการทุนด้านการเพิ่มความสามารถในการแข่งขันของประเทศ (บพข.) ร่วมกับมหาวิทยาลัยสแตรธไคลด์ (University of Strathclyde) จัดงาน From Partnership to Impact : Strengthening Thailand's Innovation Ecosystem and Empowering Entrepreneurial Universities through Global collaboration เพื่อขับเคลื่อนนวัตกรรมเชิงระบบในประเทศไทยผ่านความร่วมมือระดับโลก โดย มีนายวิวรรธน์ เหมมณฑารพ รองประธานสภาอุตสาหกรรมแห่งประเทศไทย (ส.อ.ท.) และประธานสถาบันนวัตกรรมเพื่ออุตสาหกรรม ร่วมเป็นวิทยากรบรรยายในการสัมมนาเรื่อง “การเสริมสร้างระบบนิเวศนวัตกรรมของไทย – บทเรียนจากอดีต” ณ โรงแรมโนโวเทล กรุงเทพ แพลทินัม ประตูน้ำ
นายวิวรรธน์ ได้เน้นย้ำความจำเป็นในการปรับแนวทางความร่วมมือระหว่างมหาวิทยาลัยและภาคอุตสาหกรรมให้ทันกับบริบทของโลกที่เปลี่ยนแปลงอย่างรวดเร็ว โดยเฉพาะในสาขาเกิดใหม่ เช่น เศรษฐกิจสีเขียว (ESG) และอุตสาหกรรมการผลิตขั้นสูง (Advanced Manufacturing) ซึ่งต้องอาศัยความเข้าใจร่วมกันทั้งในเชิงเทคนิคและเชิงกลยุทธ์
นอกจากนี้ ยังกล่าวเพิ่มเติมว่ามหาวิทยาลัยควรแสดงบทบาทเชิงรุกมากขึ้นในการสนับสนุนภาคเอกชน ไม่ใช่เพียงผลิตบัณฑิตหรือทำวิจัยเท่านั้น แต่ควรเป็น “พันธมิตรเชิงกลยุทธ์” ที่วางแนวทางความร่วมมือแบบยืดหยุ่นและใช้โมเดลการลงทุนร่วม (Co-investment model) เพื่อสามารถตอบสนองต่อการเปลี่ยนแปลงได้อย่างทันท่วงที และร่วมสร้างคุณค่าใหม่ให้กับระบบเศรษฐกิจและสังคมไทย
งานนี้ นับเป็นหมุดหมายสำคัญของการสร้างระบบนิเวศนวัตกรรมและขับเคลื่อนด้วยผลลัพธ์ โดยมุ่งยกระดับมหาวิทยาลัยไทยให้เป็นกลไกสำคัญในการเปลี่ยนแปลงเศรษฐกิจและส่งเสริมความร่วมมือระดับโลกอย่างยั่งยืน โดยเน้นย้ำถึงบทบาทสำคัญของความร่วมมือระหว่างประเทศและแนวคิดแบบระบบนิเวศ ในการปลดล็อกศักยภาพด้านนวัตกรรมของประเทศไทย
On June 18, 2025, the Competitiveness Enhancement Fund Management Unit (CEF) collaborated with the University of Strathclyde to organize the event From Partnership to Impact: Strengthening Thailand's Innovation Ecosystem and Empowering Entrepreneurial Universities through Global Collaboration, aimed at driving systemic innovation in Thailand through global cooperation. Mr. Wiwat Hemmaharach, Vice Chairman of the Federation of Thai Industries (FTI) and Chairman of the Innovation Institute for Industry, served as a speaker at the seminar titled “Enhancing Thailand's Innovation Ecosystem – Lessons from the Past” at the Novotel Bangkok Platinum Pratunam.
Mr. Wiwat emphasized the necessity of adapting cooperation between universities and the industrial sector to align with the rapidly changing global context, particularly in emerging fields such as the green economy (ESG) and advanced manufacturing, which require a mutual understanding both technically and strategically.
Furthermore, he stated that universities should take a more proactive role in supporting the private sector, not only by producing graduates or conducting research but also by becoming “strategic partners” that establish flexible collaboration paths and utilize a co-investment model to respond promptly to changes and jointly create new value for the Thai economy and society.
This event marks a significant milestone in building an innovation ecosystem driven by results, aiming to elevate Thai universities as key mechanisms for economic transformation and promote sustainable global collaboration, underscoring the vital role of international cooperation and ecosystem thinking in unlocking Thailand's innovation potential.
