เมื่อวันที่ 26 พฤษภาคม 2568 นายสุชาติ จันทรานาคราช รองประธานสภาอุตสาหกรรมแห่งประเทศไทย (ส.อ.ท.) เป็นผู้แทนในการลงนามบันทึกข้อตกลงความร่วมมือว่าด้วยการป้องกันและแก้ไขปัญหาการใช้แรงงานเด็กและแรงงานบังคับ ในกลุ่มสินค้ากุ้ง ปลา อ้อย เครื่องนุ่งห่ม และสินค้าปลายน้ำ (เช่น ปลาป่น น้ำมันปลา และอาหารสัตว์) โดยได้รับเกียรติจากนายพิพัฒน์ รัชกิจประการ รัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงแรงงาน เป็นประธานในพิธีเปิด ณ ห้องประชุมกระทรวงแรงงาน ชั้น 5 กระทรวงแรงงาน
บันทึกข้อตกลงความร่วมมือว่าด้วยการป้องกันและแก้ไขปัญหาการใช้แรงงานเด็กและแรงงานบังคับในกลุ่มสินค้ากุ้ง ปลา อ้อย เครื่องนุ่งห่ม และสินค้าปลายน้ำ (เช่น ปลาป่น น้ำมันปลา และอาหารสัตว์) มีผู้แทนจาก 12 หน่วยงานภาครัฐและเอกชนเข้าร่วมลงนาม ได้แก่ สภาอุตสาหกรรมแห่งประเทศไทย กรมประมง กรมปศุสัตว์ สำนักงานคณะกรรมการอ้อยและน้ำตาลทราย สภาหอการค้าแห่งประเทศไทย สมาคมการประมงแห่งประเทศไทย สมาคมผู้ผลิตปลาป่นไทย สมาคมอุตสาหกรรมทูน่าไทย สมาคมผู้ผลิตอาหารสัตว์ไทย สมาคมอาหารแช่เยือกแข็งไทย และ 3 สมาคมโรงงานน้ำตาลทราย
การลงนามร่วมกันในครั้งนี้ ส.อ.ท. เป็นองค์กรที่มีบทบาทสำคัญ ในการร่วมกันแสดงถึงความมุ่งมั่นของประเทศไทยในการป้องกันและขจัดการใช้แรงงานเด็กและแรงงานบังคับในห่วงโซ่อุปทาน อีกทั้ง สร้างความร่วมมือที่เข้มแข็งระหว่างภาครัฐและภาคเอกชนในภาคอุตสาหกรรมเป้าหมาย ซึ่งการลงนามครั้งนี้ นับเป็นก้าวสำคัญของประเทศไทยในการยกระดับมาตรฐานแรงงาน และแสดงจุดยืนที่ชัดเจนต่อตลาดโลกในด้านแรงงานและสิทธิมนุษยชน
On May 26, 2025, Mr. Suchart Janthararak, Vice Chairman of the Federation of Thai Industries (FTI), represented the organization in signing a memorandum of understanding on the prevention and resolution of child labor and forced labor issues in the shrimp, fish, sugar cane, garment, and downstream products (such as fish meal, fish oil, and animal feed) with the honor of Mr. Phiphat Ratchakijprakan, Minister of Labor, serving as the officiator at the signing ceremony held at the Ministry of Labor, 5th Floor.
The memorandum of understanding on the prevention and resolution of child labor and forced labor issues in the shrimp, fish, sugar cane, garment, and downstream products (such as fish meal, fish oil, and animal feed) was signed by representatives from 12 public and private sector agencies, including the Federation of Thai Industries, the Department of Fisheries, the Department of Livestock Development, the Office of the Rice and Sugar Board, the Thai Chamber of Commerce, the Thai Fisheries Association, the Thai Fish Meal Producers Association, the Thai Tuna Industry Association, the Thai Animal Feed Mill Association, the Thai Frozen Food Association, and 3 associations of sugar factories.
This joint signing reinforces FTI's significant role in demonstrating Thailand's commitment to preventing and eradicating child labor and forced labor within the supply chain. Furthermore, it fosters a strong collaboration between the public and private sectors within the targeted industries. This signing marks an important step for Thailand in elevating labor standards and showcasing a clear stance to the global market regarding labor and human rights.
