เมื่อวันที่ 15-16 พฤษภาคม 2568 กลุ่มอุตสาหกรรมปิโตรเคมี สภาอุตสาหกรรมแห่งประเทศไทย (ส.อ.ท.) เป็นตัวแทนประเทศไทยในฐานะเจ้าภาพจัดการประชุมอุตสาหกรรมปิโตรเคมีแห่งเอเชีย 2025 หรือ “Asia Petrochemical Industry Conference 2025 (APIC 2025)” โดยร่วมกับ สมาคมและองค์กรปิโตรเคมีรวม 7 สมาคมจากเขตเศรษฐกิจ ประกอบด้วยไทย ญี่ปุ่น เกาหลีใต้ ไต้หวัน อินเดีย มาเลเซีย และสิงคโปร์ เพื่อส่งเสริมความร่วมมือและผลักดันนวัตกรรมในการขับเคลื่อนอุตสาหกรรมปิโตรเคมีในภูมิภาคเอเชีย ให้ก้าวสู่ระดับโลกอย่างมั่นคงและยั่งยืน ภายใต้แนวคิด "Ensuring a Transformed World Prosperity" ที่สะท้อนถึงบทบาทสำคัญของอุตสาหกรรมปิโตรเคมี ต่อการขับเคลื่อนการเติบโตทางเศรษฐกิจ ยกระดับคุณภาพชีวิต และส่งเสริมความยั่งยืนในอนาคต ณ โรงแรมเซ็นทาราแกรนด์ แอท เซ็นทรัลเวิลด์
การประชุมครั้งนี้จัดขึ้นเป็นครั้งที่ 43 และเป็นครั้งที่ 3 ที่ประเทศไทยได้รับเกียรติให้เป็นเจ้าภาพ โดยมุ่งเน้นการสร้างความสัมพันธ์และความร่วมมือระหว่างประเทศสมาชิก การพัฒนานวัตกรรมเพื่อขับเคลื่อนอุตสาหกรรมปิโตรเคมีในภูมิภาคเอเชียสู่ความรุ่งเรืองที่ยั่งยืน และพร้อมเผชิญกับความท้าทายของโลกทั้งทางด้านเศรษฐกิจ สังคม สิ่งแวดล้อม ทั้งในปัจจุบันและอนาคต ทั้งยังเปิดเวทีสำหรับผู้ประกอบการ เพื่อร่วมหารือ แลกเปลี่ยนข้อมูลและประสบการณ์ รวมถึงเชื่อมโยงเครือข่ายธุรกิจระดับสากลจากทั่วโลก ที่สนใจอุตสาหกรรมปิโตรเคมีในเอเชีย
นายอภิชัย เจริญสุข ประธานกลุ่มอุตสาหกรรมปิโตรเคมี ส.อ.ท. กล่าวเปิดงานว่า “อุตสาหกรรมปิโตรเคมีมีบทบาทสำคัญในการขับเคลื่อนเศรษฐกิจและยกระดับคุณภาพชีวิต ในภาคอุตสาหกรรมจึงไม่ได้มองแต่เพียงด้านการผลิตเท่านั้น แต่มองถึงการสร้างสมดุลระหว่างการเติบโตและความยั่งยืน และพร้อมมุ่งมั่นที่จะพัฒนาอย่างยั่งยืน รวมทั้งให้เกิดความรับผิดชอบต่อโลก ผ่านการนำนวัตกรรมและความร่วมมือมาเป็นเครื่องมือหลักในการสร้างความเปลี่ยนแปลง ทั้งนี้ ผู้เข้าร่วมงาน APIC 2025 กว่า 1,500 คนจากอุตสาหกรรมปิโตรเคมี ผู้ผลิตผลิตภัณฑ์พลาสติก พันธมิตรทางธุรกิจและนักลงทุน ได้สร้างมูลค่าทางเศรษฐกิจประมาณ 145 ล้านบาท จากการใช้จ่ายผ่านกิจกรรมต่างๆ และที่สำคัญ คือ เป็นการเปิดโอกาสให้ผู้ประกอบการไทยได้เจรจาและต่อยอดทางธุรกิจกับผู้แทนจากต่างประเทศ ที่คาดว่าจะสามารถสร้างมูลค่าสูงถึงหลายพันล้านบาทอีกด้วย
การประชุมครั้งนี้ เป็นเวทีสำคัญในการแสดงศักยภาพของประเทศไทย ในฐานะศูนย์กลางอุตสาหกรรมปิโตรเคมีระดับภูมิภาค และสร้างโอกาสความร่วมมือที่ยิ่งใหญ่ในอนาคต เช่น ที่เราได้นำเสนอแนวคิด “Ensuring a Transformed World Prosperity” ก็เพื่อชี้ให้เห็นว่าการพัฒนานวัตกรรมและการร่วมมือกัน คือ หัวใจสำคัญที่จะสร้างความรุ่งเรืองให้แก่โลกในอนาคต เราคาดหวังว่าจะเกิดความร่วมมือในระดับภูมิภาคและระดับโลก ทั้งด้านการพัฒนานวัตกรรมและการดำเนินงานที่เป็นมิตรต่อสิ่งแวดล้อม รวมถึงการสร้างเครือข่ายธุรกิจที่เข้มแข็งยิ่งขึ้นในอุตสาหกรรมปิโตรเคมี และความร่วมมือครั้งนี้ จะนำไปสู่การเปลี่ยนแปลงที่ส่งผลเชิงบวกในท้ายที่สุด” นายอภิชัย กล่าว
ด้านนายโคชิโระ คุโด ประธานสมาคมอุตสาหกรรมปิโตรเคมีแห่งประเทศญี่ปุ่น ซึ่งจะรับหน้าที่เป็นเจ้าภาพจัดงานประชุม APIC ในครั้งต่อไป ได้กล่าวชื่นชมบทบาทการเป็นเจ้าภาพของประเทศไทยในครั้งนี้ว่า “ประเทศไทยทำหน้าที่เป็นเจ้าภาพจัดงาน APIC 2025 ได้อย่างดีเยี่ยม ทั้งการจัดหัวข้อเสวนาและการแลกเปลี่ยนมุมมองที่ตอบโจทย์แนวคิด “Ensuring a Transformed World Prosperity” ได้อย่างครอบคลุม ก่อให้เกิดผลกระทบเชิงบวกทั้งในระดับประเทศและระดับภูมิภาค ในฐานะที่ญี่ปุ่นได้รับเกียรติให้เป็นเจ้าภาพจัดงานในครั้งหน้า เรามีความภูมิใจและยินดีเป็นอย่างยิ่ง ที่จะได้ต้อนรับประเทศสมาชิกและตัวแทนจากทั่วโลก ในการประชุม เพื่อสร้างความร่วมมือในการขับเคลื่อนอุตสาหกรรมปิโตรเคมีในภูมิภาคเอเชียสู่ระดับโลก”
การประชุม APIC 2025 เป็นเวทีสำคัญที่รวบรวมผู้เชี่ยวชาญและบุคลากรในวงการอุตสาหกรรม ปิโตรเคมี เพื่อแลกเปลี่ยนมุมมอง ขยายโอกาสทางธุรกิจ และเสริมสร้างเครือข่ายความร่วมมือในระดับภูมิภาคและระดับโลก โดยมุ่งเน้นไปที่กิจกรรม ซึ่งนำไปสู่การผลักดันให้เกิดความร่วมมือระดับภูมิภาค
สร้างโอกาสทางธุรกิจ และขับเคลื่อนนวัตกรรมเพื่ออนาคตที่ยั่งยืนของอุตสาหกรรมปิโตรเคมี
นอกจากนี้ งาน APIC 2025 ยังให้ความสำคัญต่อแนวทางการจัดงานอย่างยั่งยืน (Green Meeting) ตามมาตรการของสำนักงานส่งเสริมการจัดประชุมและนิทรรศการ (TCEB) และแนวทางปฏิบัติพื้นฐานเพื่อความยั่งยืน อาทิ การลดใช้กระดาษ การจัดการอาหารอย่างยั่งยืน การจัดการพลังงานและทรัพยากร การคัดแยกและการรีไซเคิลขยะ รวมถึงการสื่อสารและสร้างความตระหนักรู้อีกด้วย
On May 15-16, 2025, the Petrochemical Industry Group of the Federation of Thai Industries (FTI) represented Thailand as the host of the Asia Petrochemical Industry Conference 2025 or “Asia Petrochemical Industry Conference 2025 (APIC 2025)”. This was in collaboration with seven petrochemical associations from economic regions, including Thailand, Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, India, Malaysia, and Singapore, to promote cooperation and drive innovation in advancing the petrochemical industry in the Asia region towards a stable and sustainable global standing, under the theme "Ensuring a Transformed World Prosperity", which reflects the crucial role of the petrochemical industry in fostering economic growth, enhancing quality of life, and promoting sustainable future at Centara Grand at CentralWorld.
This conference marked the 43rd meeting and the third time Thailand has had the honor of hosting. It focused on building relationships and cooperation among member countries, developing innovations to propel the petrochemical industry in the Asia region towards sustainable prosperity, and facing existing and future global challenges in economics, society, and the environment. It also provided a platform for entrepreneurs to discuss, share information and experiences, as well as connect with international business networks interested in the petrochemical industry in Asia.
Mr. Apichai Jareonsuk, Chairman of the Petrochemical Industry Group of FTI, stated during the opening ceremony, “The petrochemical industry plays a vital role in driving economic growth and enhancing quality of life, thus in the industrial sector, we do not just focus on production, but also on creating a balance between growth and sustainability. We are committed to sustainable development and being responsible to the world through innovation and collaboration as key tools for creating change. Additionally, more than 1,500 participants from the petrochemical industry, plastic product manufacturers, business partners, and investors generated approximately 145 million THB in economic value from various activities, and importantly, this opens up opportunities for Thai entrepreneurs to negotiate and expand business with representatives from abroad, potentially creating additional value worth billions of THB.
This conference is a significant platform to showcase Thailand's potential as a regional petrochemical industry hub and to create great collaboration opportunities for the future. For instance, our presentation of the concept “Ensuring a Transformed World Prosperity” aims to illustrate that innovation development and collaboration are key elements that will ensure future global prosperity. We anticipate regional and global cooperation in innovation development and environmentally friendly operations, as well as the establishment of a stronger business network in the petrochemical industry. This collaboration will ultimately lead to beneficial changes,” Mr. Apichai added.
Mr. Koichiro Kudo, President of the Petrochemical Industry Association of Japan, who will host the next APIC meeting, praised Thailand's role as a host this time, stating, “Thailand has done an excellent job hosting APIC 2025, both in the organization of discussion topics and the comprehensive exchange of perspectives that meet the “Ensuring a Transformed World Prosperity” concept. This brought about positive impacts at both national and regional levels. As Japan has the honor of being the next host, we are very proud and pleased to welcome member countries and representatives from around the world to the conference to foster cooperation in advancing the petrochemical industry in the Asia region to a global level.”
APIC 2025 serves as a crucial forum gathering experts and personnel in the petrochemical industry to exchange views, expand business opportunities, and strengthen collaboration networks at both regional and global levels. It focuses on activities aimed at driving regional cooperation, creating business opportunities, and pushing for innovations for a sustainable future in the petrochemical industry.
Additionally, APIC 2025 emphasizes sustainable event management (Green Meeting) following the standards set by the Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau (TCEB) and fundamental sustainability practices, such as reducing paper usage, sustainably managing food, energy and resource management, waste sorting and recycling, as well as communication and awareness creation.
