เมื่อวันที่ 1 พฤษภาคม 2568 นายเกรียงไกร เธียรนุกุล ประธานสภาอุตสาหกรรมแห่งประเทศไทย (ส.อ.ท.) ในฐานะกรรมการ เข้าร่วมประชุม “คณะกรรมการขับเคลื่อนแผนปฏิบัติการด้านปัญญาประดิษฐ์แห่งชาติเพื่อพัฒนาประเทศไทย (National AI Committee)” ครั้งที่ 1/2568 เพื่อกำหนดแนวทางการพัฒนาระบบนิเวศ AI ให้ประเทศไทยก้าวขึ้นเป็นศูนย์กลางการขับเคลื่อน AI แห่งภูมิภาค และเสริมสร้างการเติบโตทางเศรษฐกิจในทุกมิติ โดยมีนางสาวแพทองธาร ชินวัตร นายกรัฐมนตรี เป็นประธานการประชุม ณ ตึกภักดีบดินทร์ ทำเนียบรัฐบาล
นายประเสริฐ จันทรรวงทอง รองนายกรัฐมนตรี และรัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงดิจิทัลเพื่อเศรษฐกิจและสังคม (ดีอี) ในฐานะรองประธานคณะกรรมการฯ ได้รายงานกรอบการขับเคลื่อน AI ไทย ดังนี้
1. การพัฒนากำลังคน AI ครอบคลุมทุกระดับ ตั้งเป้าใน 2 ปี สร้าง AI Users ไม่น้อยกว่า 10 ล้านคน, AI Professionals ไม่น้อยกว่า 90,000 คน และ AI Developers ไม่น้อยกว่า 50,000 คน เพื่อรองรับการใช้และพัฒนา AI อย่างกว้างขวาง
2. การลงทุนโครงสร้างพื้นฐานด้าน AI ส่งเสริมการลงทุนระบบ Cloud Data Center, ระบบประมวลผล GPU , การพัฒนาแพลตฟอร์มปัญญาประดิษฐ์เปิด (Open Source AI Platform) ให้เพียงพอ และจัดตั้ง Data Bank เพื่อบูรณาการการทำงานด้าน AI ในแต่ละสาขาร่วมกับภาคเอกชนอย่างเป็นระบบต่อไป
3. เร่งใช้ AI ในภาคเศรษฐกิจและสังคม เน้นการประยุกต์ใช้ในสาขาสำคัญ ได้แก่ การประยุกต์ใช้ AI จะส่งผลให้การแพทย์ของไทยมีประสิทธิภาพและยกระดับขึ้นเป็นศูนย์กลางของการรักษาพยาบาลในอาเซียนได้ พร้อมกับยกระดับการท่องเที่ยวทั้งในด้านจำนวนนักท่องเที่ยวและการใช้จ่าย อีกทั้งการใช้ AI ด้านการเกษตรจะทำให้การเพาะปลูกเป็นไปอย่างมีประสิทธิภาพ สร้างผลผลิตที่สูงขึ้น และสามารถทำงานด้านการพาณิชย์และตลาดอย่างตรงเป้าอีกด้วย
On May 1, 2025, Mr. Kriangkrai Theeranukul, Chairman of the Federation of Thai Industries (FTI), in his capacity as a committee member, participated in the meeting of the "National AI Committee for the Development of Thailand (National AI Committee)" for the first time in 2025, to set the direction for the development of the AI ecosystem to position Thailand as a regional AI hub and enhance economic growth in all dimensions, with Ms. Phaetongtarn Shinawatra, the Prime Minister, presiding over the meeting at the Phakdi Bodin Building, Government House.
Mr. Prasert Chanruangthong, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Digital Economy and Society (DE), in his capacity as Vice Chairman of the Committee, reported the framework for driving AI in Thailand as follows:
1. Development of AI talent at all levels, aiming within 2 years to create no less than 10 million AI users, no less than 90,000 AI professionals, and no less than 50,000 AI developers to support widespread AI utilization and development.
2. Investment in AI infrastructure, promoting investments in Cloud Data Centers, GPU processing systems, and the development of Open Source AI Platforms to ensure adequacy, along with establishing a Data Bank to systemically integrate AI operations in each sector with the private sector.
3. Accelerating the use of AI in the economy and society, focusing on applications in key sectors. The application of AI will enhance the efficiency of Thai healthcare, positioning it as a medical hub in ASEAN, alongside boosting tourism in terms of visitor numbers and spending. Additionally, the use of AI in agriculture will lead to efficient cultivation, higher yields, and targeted commercial and market operations.
