เมื่อวันพุธที่ 23 เมษายน 2568 นายเวทิต โชควัฒนา รองประธานสภาอุตสาหกรรมแห่งประเทศไทย (ส.อ.ท.) และประธานคณะกรรมการสายงานอาเซียนและโลจิสติกส์ ให้การต้อนรับนายรีช รา (H.E. Mr. Reach Ra) รัฐมนตรีช่วยว่าการกระทรวงพาณิชย์ ประเทศกัมพูชา และออกญา ไช ซอน (Oknha Chray Son) ประธานสหพันธ์มันสำปะหลังแห่งกัมพูชา ในโอกาสนำคณะนักธุรกิจจากกัมพูชามาเยือนประเทศไทย และพบปะหารือกับสภาอุตสาหกรรมแห่งประเทศไทย ณ ห้องประชุม 802 Passion ชั้น 8 ส.อ.ท.
ในการหารือ ทั้งสองฝ่ายได้แลกเปลี่ยนความคิดเห็นเกี่ยวกับโอกาสและแนวความร่วมมือด้านการพัฒนาตลาดสินค้าเกษตรระหว่างไทยและกัมพูชา ภายใต้ 4 ประเด็นสำคัญ คือ ผลิตผลมันสำปะหลัง ผลิตผลข้าวโพด วัตถุดิบการผลิตอาหารสัตว์ และการบริหารจัดการด้านโลจิสติกส์ข้ามแดน โดยสมาชิก ส.อ.ท. เน้นย้ำถึงโอกาสในการเพิ่มปริมาณการนำเข้าวัตถุดิบ เพื่อแปรรูปเป็นสินค้าเกษตรจากกัมพูชา และให้ข้อเสนอแนะในการพัฒนาสินค้าและมาตรฐานให้สอดคล้องกับความต้องการของตลาดไทย โดยเฉพาะอย่างยิ่งสินค้ามันสำปะหลัง และข้าวโพดอาหารสัตว์ ซึ่งเป็นสินค้าที่เป็นที่ต้องการนำเข้ามาประเทศไทย
ทั้งนี้ ปี 2568 เป็นปีครบรอบ 75 ปี การสถาปนาความสัมพันธ์ทางการทูตไทย – กัมพูชา และทั้งสองประเทศมุ่งสู่การขับเคลื่อนความเป็นหุ้นส่วนเชิงยุทธศาสตร์ระหว่างกัน ซึ่งยุทธศาสตร์หนึ่ง คือ ความร่วมมือทางเศรษฐกิจที่มีเป้าหมายเพิ่มมูลค่าการค้าระหว่างกัน จาก 1 หมื่นล้านดอลลาร์สหรัฐ เป็น 15,000 ล้านดอลลาร์สหรัฐ ภายในปี 2570 โดยในปี 2567 มูลค่าการค้าระหว่างกัน คือ ประมาณ 10,450 ล้านดอลลาร์สหรัฐ ดังนั้น นายรีช รา (H.E. Mr. Reach Ra) จึงหวังว่าความร่วมมือทางการค้าสินค้าเกษตร จะเป็นส่วนหนึ่งในการผลักดันให้เป้าหมายนี้สู่ความสำเร็จ
สำหรับการหารือ นายกริช อึ้งวิฑูรสถิตย์ รองประธานสายงานสายงานอาเซียนและโลจิสติกส์ และคณะกรรมการสายงานฯ ส.อ.ท. พร้อมด้วยนายโซเตียะ (Mr. Sothea) อัครราชทูตที่ปรึกษาฝ่ายการพาณิชย์ สถานทูตกัมพูชาประจำประเทศไทย รวมทั้งผู้แทนจากกรมการค้าต่างประเทศ กรมศุลกากร และกรมวิชาการเกษตร เข้าร่วมด้วย
On Wednesday, April 23, 2025, Mr. Vethit Chokwatana, Vice Chairman of the Federation of Thai Industries (FTI) and Chairman of the ASEAN and Logistics Committee, welcomed H.E. Mr. Reach Ra, the Deputy Minister of Commerce of Cambodia, and Oknha Chray Son, President of the Cambodian Cassava Federation, during their visit to Thailand with a business delegation from Cambodia, to discuss with the Federation of Thai Industries at Meeting Room 802 Passion, 8th Floor, FTI.
During the discussions, both parties exchanged views on opportunities and cooperation in the development of agricultural product markets between Thailand and Cambodia, focusing on four key areas: cassava production, corn production, raw materials for animal feed, and cross-border logistics management. FTI members emphasized opportunities to increase the import volume of raw materials for processing into agricultural products from Cambodia and provided suggestions for developing products and standards to align with the demands of the Thai market, especially cassava and corn for animal feed, which are in high demand for import into Thailand.
Furthermore, 2025 marks the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Thailand and Cambodia, and both countries aim to drive forward a strategic partnership. One of the strategies is economic cooperation aimed at increasing the trade value between them from 10 billion USD to 15 billion USD by 2027. In 2024, the trade value between the two countries was approximately 10.45 billion USD. Therefore, H.E. Mr. Reach Ra hopes that cooperation in agricultural trade will contribute to achieving this goal.
In the discussions, Mr. Krit Eungwithunthit, Vice Chairman of the ASEAN and Logistics Committee, and members of the committee from FTI, along with Mr. Sothea, Commercial Counselor of the Cambodian Embassy in Thailand, as well as representatives from the Department of Foreign Trade, the Customs Department, and the Department of Agricultural Extension, participated in the meeting.
