ส.อ.ท. หารือเร่งด่วนกรอบการดำเนินการฝ่ายไทยต่อนโยบายทรัมป์ ก่อนรองนายกฯ ไปเจรจากับสหรัฐฯFTI Urgently Discusses Framework for Thai Actions on Trump Policies Before Deputy Prime Minister's Talks with the U.S.

On April 11, 2025, at 4:00 PM, Mr. Kriangkrai Theeranukul, Chairman of the Federation of Thai Industries (FTI), attended a meeting with Mr. Pichai Chunhavan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, alongside Mr. Pichai Naripthapand, Minister of Commerce, to prepare for the details concerning the framework and guidelines for Thai actions regarding the counter-tariff policy of the United States. The FTI committee members present included Mr. Apichit Prasobrat, Mr. Nawa Chanthanasurakhan, Mr. Pramote Talawat, Mr. Apisit Techanitisawat, and Dr. Piyanuj Malakul na Ayudhya, held at the Ministry of Finance.

In this meeting, Mr. Kriangkrai presented the initial survey results from the industrial sector, which included proposals from the industrial sector for the Deputy Prime Minister's consideration when negotiating with the United States. These included items proposed for increased US imports, items for which the private sector advocates reducing import tariffs, as well as the non-tariff measures (NTMs) from Thailand that should be eliminated or eased, among other matters. 

Furthermore, FTI expressed its readiness to promote industries with potential to invest in the United States as well.

It is noteworthy that Mr. Pichai is scheduled to travel to the United States for discussions in the near future.
