เมื่อวันที่ 31 มีนาคม 2568 ตลาดหลักทรัพย์แห่งประเทศไทย (ตลท.) ร่วมกับธนาคารแห่งประเทศไทย สำนักงานคณะกรรมการกำกับหลักทรัพย์และตลาดหลักทรัพย์ สภาอุตสาหกรรมแห่งประเทศไทย (ส.อ.ท.) คณะกรรมการกำกับและส่งเสริมการประกอบธุรกิจประกันภัย และสภาวิศวกร ได้เปิดแถลงข่าวด่วน ผ่านแถลงการณ์ร่วมภาคเศรษฐกิจจริงและระบบทางการเงิน จากเหตุการณ์แผ่นดินไหว เพื่อชี้แจงข้อเท็จจริงและผลกระทบจากเหตุแผ่นดินไหว ณ อาคารตลาดหลักทรัพย์ฯ
ตามที่ได้เกิดเหตุการณ์ "แผ่นดินไหว"ในประเทศไทยเมื่อช่วงบ่ายวันที่ 28 มีนาคม 2568 ที่ผ่านมา ซึ่งเป็นเหตุการณ์ที่ทำให้ประชาชนมีความกังวลต่อผลกระทบที่อาจจะเกิดขึ้นต่อภาคเศรษฐกิจ และระบบทางการเงินของไทย เพื่อเป็นการให้ข้อมูลที่เกี่ยวข้องอย่างรอบด้านและครบถ้วน หน่วยงานสำคัญที่เกี่ยวข้องในด้านเศรษฐกิจและการเงินทั้งภาครัฐและเอกชน จึงได้ร่วมกันจัดแถลงการณ์ร่วมเพื่อให้ข้อมูลที่เกี่ยวข้องในมิติต่างๆ ทั้งด้านความปลอดภัยทางวิศวกรรม ด้านภาคการผลิต การส่งออก และการท่องเที่ยว รวมทั้งด้านตลาดเงินและตลาดทุน
นายเกรียงไกร เธียรนุกุล ประธานสภาอุตสาหกรรมแห่งประเทศไทย (ส.อ.ท.) กล่าวว่าเหตุแผ่นดินไหวเมื่อวันที่ 28 มีนาคม 2568 ถือว่าเป็นเหตุการณ์ที่ค่อนข้างรุนแรง และถือเป็นบททดสอบ อย่างไรก็ดีภาคการผลิตในหลายโรงงาน โดยเฉพาะโรงงานขนาดกลางและใหญ่ จะมีวิศวกรประจำโรงงานอยู่แล้ว พบว่าหลายโรงงานกลับมาเดินเครื่องผลิตได้แล้วสำหรับกะกลางคืน หลัง 17.00 น.ของวันเกิดเหตุ และมีหลายโรงงานที่จะต้องการตรวจสอบก่อน แล้วในวันถัดมา คือ วันเสาร์ที่ 29 มีนาคมได้กลับเข้ามาทำงานปกติ รวมถึงโรงงานขนาดเล็กก็เช่นกันไม่พบว่ามีปัญหาด้านการผลิต โดยเฉพาะโรงงานขนาดใหญ่ที่มีระบบการส่งแก๊สใต้ดิน ได้มีการตรวจความดันแก๊สใต้ดินเพื่อเข้าสู่โรงงานแล้ว ก็พบว่ายังอยู่ในสภาวะปกติ เครื่องจักรกลับมาทำงานตามปกติ สำหรับการส่งวัตถุดิบต่างๆ มาสู่โรงงานก็ไม่มีปัญหา ตลอดจนการส่งออกไม่ว่าจะไปท่าเรือหรือว่าไปทางเครื่องบิน ยังเป็นปกติ ไม่มีปัญหาและกลับเข้าสู่โหมดปกติเรียบร้อยแล้ว
On March 31, 2025, the Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) collaborated with the Bank of Thailand, the Securities and Exchange Commission, the Federation of Thai Industries (FTI), the Insurance Business Regulatory Committee, and the Engineering Council to issue an urgent press release through a joint statement from the real economy and financial system regarding the earthquake event to clarify the facts and impacts stemming from the earthquake at the SET building.
Following the occurrence of the "earthquake" in Thailand on the afternoon of March 28, 2025, which has made the public concerned about the potential effects on Thailand's economic sector and financial system, relevant key agencies in both the public and private sectors have come together to issue a joint statement to provide comprehensive information on various aspects, including engineering safety, manufacturing, exports, tourism, as well as the money and capital markets.
Mr. Kriangkrai Tiyanukul, President of the Federation of Thai Industries (FTI), stated that the earthquake occurring on March 28, 2025, is considered a fairly severe incident and serves as a test. However, in the manufacturing sector, many factories, particularly medium and large-sized factories that have engineers on-site, found that several factories resumed production for the night shift after 5:00 PM on the day of the incident. Many factories needed to conduct checks first, but on the following day, Saturday, March 29, they returned to normal operations. Small factories also reported no production issues. Specifically, large factories with underground gas supply systems underwent pressure checks for the gas supply entering the factory and found that it was still in a normal state with machinery returning to regular operations. Additionally, the supply of various raw materials to the factories encountered no issues, and exports, whether destined for ports or by air, resumed normally without problems, fully returning to regular operation.
