On Saturday, March 21, 2025, the Southern Industrial Council held its 3rd traveling meeting of the Southern Industrial Council (Traveling) for the year 2025, chaired by Mr. Adisorn Tanayenchai, President of the Southern Industrial Council, along with Mr. Thanyawit Thamsoontorn, Secretary-General of the Southern Industrial Council, and Mr. Kritt Chao Buang, President of the Southern Gulf Province Industrial Council and President of the Phatthalung Province Industrial Council. They were received with honor by Mr. Kriangkrai Thianukool, President of FTI, along with Mr. Apichit Pasornrat, Vice President of FTI, Mr. Hasadin Suwatanapongchet, Mr. Niti Thon Kritsadin, and Mr. Yongsin Yuwathanont, Deputy Secretary-General of FTI, who participated to provide suggestions on information to promote and support the operations of the provincial industrial councils, and to hear issues concerning the hardships of members in the area and approaches to advancing the industrial sector and economy in the southern region, held at the Phetthong Meeting Room at Roithong Resort, Phatthalung Province.

The meeting presented important topics as follows:
1) Invitation for members to attend the Annual General Meeting 2025 of the Federation of Thai Industries on Monday, March 31, 2025, from 08:30 to 13:00, at BALLROOM 1 - 2, Level 1, Queen Sirikit National Convention Center.
2) Management of the provincial industrial council office/accounting and various activities.
3) Progress and operational directions of the school collaboration project with the Ministry of Education.
4) Invitation for members to submit information for the creation of E-Catalog (Provincial E-Catalog) to enhance opportunities for expanding international markets.
5) Submission of lists of restaurants and accommodations for services on the FTI e-member card by the provincial industrial councils, requesting cooperation from the provincial industrial councils to provide at least two services, including restaurants, hotels, or other services for the FTI e-Member Card by March 31, 2025.
6) A presentation on the Employee Welfare Fund by the Provincial Bureau of Labor Protection and Welfare, Phatthalung.
7) Summary of the operational results of provincial industrial councils, including:
- Southern Andaman Group: Advocacy for projects in the Group meeting, such as deep-water port in the Southern Andaman region, sea tourism routes between islands in the Andaman area, and the construction of the second bridge connecting Phang Nga - Phuket.
- Gulf Southern Group: Advocacy for projects in the Group meeting such as the development of a high-value innovation zone in the Gulf Southern region, a comprehensive tourism model development project in the Gulf Southern region, and the establishment of a General Export Service Center (One-Stop Service Export Center: OSEC).
- Southern Border Provinces Group: Advocacy for projects in the Group meeting, such as promoting the Patani deep-water port at the mouth of Sai Buri River, requesting an extension of the Soft Loan 1.5% for another 10 years for the Southern border special economic zone development area, and a feasibility study for the Southern Border Economic Corridor (SBEC).
