เมื่อวันที่ 6 กรกฎาคม 2569 นายสุเมธ ตั้งประเสริฐ ผู้ว่าการการนิคมอุตสาหกรรมแห่งประเทศไทย (กนอ.) พร้อมคณะผู้บริหาร เข้าพบ นางพิมพ์ใจ ลี้อิสสระนุกูล ประธานสภาอุตสาหกรรมแห่งประเทศไทย (ส.อ.ท.) เพื่อแสดงความยินดีในโอกาสเข้ารับตำแหน่งประธาน ส.อ.ท. วาระปี 2569-2571 โดยมี นายธีระพล ติรวศิน รองประธาน ส.อ.ท. และรองประธานสายงานส่งเสริมและสนับสนุนอุตสาหกรรม และนายปรีดา วัชรเธียรสกุล รองประธาน ส.อ.ท. และประธานสถาบันน้ำ สิ่งแวดล้อม และ Climate Change พร้อมคณะผู้บริหารสถาบันฯ ร่วมให้การต้อนรับและหารือ ณ ส.อ.ท.
ทั้งสองหน่วยงานได้หารือแนวทางยกระดับความร่วมมือเพื่อเสริมสร้างขีดความสามารถการแข่งขันของภาคอุตสาหกรรมไทย และขับเคลื่อนการพัฒนาอุตสาหกรรมอย่างยั่งยืน ภายใต้วิสัยทัศน์ "The New Chapter of Thai Industry: Empowering Growth with 5-I"
ที่ประชุมเห็นพ้องทบทวนและขยายกรอบบันทึกความร่วมมือ (MOU) ให้สอดคล้องกับทิศทางการดำเนินงานของทั้งสององค์กร พร้อมยกระดับความร่วมมือสู่การร่วมออกแบบและขับเคลื่อนโครงการเชิงปฏิบัติ (Co-design) เพื่อสร้างโอกาสทางธุรกิจ พัฒนาระบบนิเวศอุตสาหกรรม (Industrial Ecosystem) และรองรับอุตสาหกรรมเป้าหมาย โดยใช้นิคมอุตสาหกรรมเป็นกลไกสำคัญในการลดต้นทุน เพิ่มประสิทธิภาพการดำเนินงาน และยกระดับการบริหารจัดการด้านสิ่งแวดล้อมและการอยู่ร่วมกับชุมชนอย่างเป็นระบบ พร้อมติดตามความก้าวหน้าผ่านการประชุมคณะกรรมการอำนวยการร่วมทุก 2 เดือน
นอกจากนี้ ทั้งสองฝ่ายจะร่วมผลักดันมาตรฐาน Eco Factory สนับสนุนการพัฒนานิคมอุตสาหกรรมยั่งยืน (SDGs I.E.) พร้อมจัดตั้งคณะทำงานร่วมเพื่อผลักดันกลไก End-of-Waste (EoW) ทั้งด้านกฎระเบียบ แนวปฏิบัติ และ Business Model เพื่อส่งเสริมการใช้ทรัพยากรอย่างคุ้มค่าและการหมุนเวียนทรัพยากรในภาคอุตสาหกรรม ควบคู่กับการขับเคลื่อนโครงการ Low Carbon City และการจัดงาน Eco Innovation Forum 2026 เพื่อเป็นเวทีเผยแพร่ผลการดำเนินงาน แลกเปลี่ยนองค์ความรู้ และสื่อสารทิศทางการพัฒนาอุตสาหกรรมด้านนิคมอุตสาหกรรมยั่งยืน การเปลี่ยนแปลงสภาพภูมิอากาศ (Climate Change) และการเปลี่ยนผ่านสู่อุตสาหกรรมคาร์บอนต่ำ
ความร่วมมือครั้งนี้ สะท้อนความมุ่งมั่นของ ส.อ.ท. และ กนอ. ในการบูรณาการความร่วมมือระหว่างภาครัฐและภาคเอกชน เพื่อเสริมสร้างขีดความสามารถการแข่งขันของภาคอุตสาหกรรมไทย ควบคู่กับการยกระดับมาตรฐานด้านสิ่งแวดล้อม และสนับสนุนการเปลี่ยนผ่านสู่เศรษฐกิจสีเขียว เพื่อการเติบโตที่มั่นคงและยั่งยืนในระยะยาว
On July 6, 2026, Mr. Sumeth Tangprasert, Governor of the Industrial Estate Authority of Thailand (IEAT), along with his executive team, met with Mrs. Pimjai Leeissaranukul, Chairwoman of the Federation of Thai Industries (FTI), to congratulate her on assuming the position of Chairwoman of FTI for the term 2026-2028. Mr. Teerapol Tirawehsin, Vice Chairman of FTI and Vice Chairman of the Industrial Promotion and Support Division, and Mr. Preeda Watcharateerakul, Vice Chairman of FTI and Chairman of the Water, Environment and Climate Change Institute, along with their executive team from the institute, welcomed the delegation and engaged in discussions at FTI.
Both organizations discussed ways to enhance cooperation to bolster the competitive capabilities of the Thai industrial sector and drive sustainable industrial development under the vision "The New Chapter of Thai Industry: Empowering Growth with 5-I".
The meeting agreed to review and expand the framework of the memorandum of understanding (MOU) to align with the operational directions of both organizations, while elevating the collaboration to co-design and implement practical projects to create business opportunities, develop the industrial ecosystem, and support targeted industries. They will utilize industrial estates as a key mechanism to reduce costs, enhance operational efficiency, and elevate environmental management and community coexistence in a systematic manner, with progress monitored through bi-monthly joint steering committee meetings.
Additionally, both parties will collaborate to promote the Eco Factory standard and support the development of sustainable industrial estates (SDGs I.E.), while establishing a joint working group to push for an End-of-Waste (EoW) mechanism in terms of regulations, practices, and business models to promote efficient resource use and resource circularity in the industrial sector, alongside driving the Low Carbon City project and organizing the Eco Innovation Forum 2026 as a platform to disseminate operational results, exchange knowledge, and communicate the direction of sustainable industrial estate development, climate change adaptation, and transition to a low-carbon industry.
This cooperation reflects the dedication of FTI and IEAT in integrating collaboration between the public and private sectors to enhance the competitive capabilities of the Thai industrial sector, alongside elevating environmental standards and supporting the transition to a green economy for stable and sustainable long-term growth.
