Sales Figures
Domestic automotive sales in January 2025 totaled 48,092 units, a decrease of 12.26% from January 2024 due to financial institutions maintaining tight credit access amid increasing household debt and a domestic economic growth rate of only 2.5% in 2024. The industrial production index continues to decline, especially in the automotive sector, leading to reduced incomes for a substantial number of workers, resulting in decreased spending and low economic growth rates. Therefore, the government is urged to expedite credit guarantees for pickup truck purchases from four months to two months, allowing the industrial sector to increase production, generate more employment, and boost spending – ultimately facilitating higher economic growth rates and creating a favorable investment environment in accordance with the Prime Minister's intentions.
Passenger cars and inspection vehicles accounted for 30,610 units, or 63.65% of total sales, representing a decrease of 10.92% from the same period last year:
• Passenger Cars and Inspection Vehicles with ICE: 12,010 units, or 24.97% of total sales, down from the same month last year by 16.44%.
