ส.อ.ท. ร่วมประชุมคณะอนุกรรมาธิการพิจารณาศึกษา เทคโนโลยี วิจัย และนวัตกรรมเพื่อความยั่งยืนFTI Participates in the Meeting of the Subcommittee on Technology, Research, and Innovation for Sustainability

On Wednesday, January 22, 2025, Mr. Wiwat Hemmuntarapat, Vice Chairman of the Federation of Thai Industries (FTI) and Chairman of the Innovation Institute for Industry, attended a meeting with the Subcommittee on Technology, Research, and Innovation for Sustainability at Committee Room CA 301, 3rd Floor, Parliament Building.

The meeting was organized to provide information, facts, and opinions on policy issues, objectives, and scope in line with the United Nations' goals for sustainable development by driving science, technology, research, and innovation for sustainable development in the public sector. Mr. Wiwat expressed his views on Thailand's potential in improving the quality of life of people, systems, and the direction of creating Data Centers to support the business ecosystem, which will help reduce trading costs and increase the speed of data utilization. Despite environmental challenges, such as the use of clean energy, these can be managed in the future with appropriate technology.

Currently, the industrial sector must rapidly adapt to compete with international competition through the use of innovation, technology, and support from agencies. For instance, FTI has established an innovation fund that assists startups in expanding their businesses. Moreover, FTI is ready to push forward key policies in collaboration with the government to drive the country towards sustainable competitiveness on the global stage.
