On Friday, January 17, 2025, the Northern Industrial Council held its first board meeting of the year 2025, graced by the presence of Mr. Kriangkrai Thiennukul, President of the Federation of Thai Industries (FTI), along with Mr. Thavie Piyapattana, Senior Vice President of FTI, Mr. Apichit Pasaprat, Vice President of FTI, and Dr. Darat Wipataklas, Vice President of FTI. The meeting was conducted to listen to the issues raised by members in the area, with Dr. Supachai Wangpridalekul, President of the Northern Industrial Council, delivering the opening remarks. Additionally, Lieutenant Colonel Suthep Wongwiset, President of the Nan Provincial Industrial Council, welcomed the FTI executives and the Northern Industrial Council members at the Nan Green Lake View Resort in Nan Province.

During the meeting, the following key issues were discussed:

1. The Northern Industrial Council booth and products to be showcased at FTI EXPO 2025, featuring goods from members of all four provincial groups.

2. The minimum wage rate for 2025 as per the announcement by the Wage Committee regarding the minimum wage rate (No. 13), effective from January 1, 2025. The Northern Industrial Council discussed proposals/relief measures from the government concerning the adjustment of the minimum wage rate, particularly in provinces where the adjustment exceeds the average of 2.9%.

3. Updates on the operations of the Industrial Councils in the four provincial groups.
