เมื่อวันที่ 7 มกราคม 2568 นายเกรียงไกร เธียรนุกุล ประธานสภาอุตสาหกรรมแห่งประเทศไทย (ส.อ.ท.) พร้อมด้วยนายชาติชาย พานิชชีวะ นายอรินทร์ จิรา รองประธาน ส.อ.ท. ดร. วิบูลย์ รักสาสน์เจริญผล กรรมการบริหาร ได้ให้การต้อนรับนายชาทิตย์ ห้วยหงส์ทอง ประธานหอการค้าอเมริกันในประเทศไทย พร้อมด้วยผู้แทนหอการค้าอเมริกันในประเทศไทย ณ ส.อ.ท.
ทั้งสองฝ่ายได้แลกเปลี่ยนข้อมูลด้านเศรษฐกิจและการลงทุนระหว่างไทยกับสหรัฐอเมริการ่วมกัน รวมถึงการเตรียมตัวรับนโยบาย Trump 2.0 ซึ่งคาดว่าจะเป็นประโยชน์กับไทยในการดึงดูดการค้าการลงทุนจากต่างประเทศ และได้แจ้งให้ทราบว่าทาง AMCHAM ได้มีการจัดทำข้อเสนอ Five to Thrive 2025 เพื่อเป็นแนวทางให้ภาครัฐไทยดำเนินการเพิ่มประสิทธิภาพการอำนวยความสะดวก โดย ส.อ.ท. ยินดีที่จะขอรับทราบข้อมูลและข้อเสนอแนะจากภาคเอกชนสหรัฐฯ เพื่อเป็นประโยชน์ในการดำเนินธุรกิจร่วมกันต่อไป
On January 7, 2023, Mr. Kriangkrai Theeranukul, President of the Federation of Thai Industries (FTI), along with Mr. Chatchai Panitchchiva, Mr. Arin Jira, Vice Presidents of FTI, and Dr. Wiboon Raksasarnjaroenpol, Executive Board Member, welcomed Mr. Chati Huyhongthong, President of the American Chamber of Commerce in Thailand, along with representatives of the American Chamber of Commerce in Thailand at FTI.
Both parties exchanged information regarding the economic and investment relations between Thailand and the United States, as well as preparations to receive the Trump 2.0 policy, which is expected to be beneficial for Thailand in attracting foreign trade and investment. They also informed that AMCHAM has established the Five to Thrive 2025 proposal to serve as a guideline for the Thai government to enhance facilitation efficiency. FTI expressed its willingness to receive information and recommendations from the American private sector for mutual business benefit.
