เมื่อวันศุกร์ที่ 12 กรกฏาคม 2567 นายเกรียงไกร เธียรนุกุล ประธานสภาอุตสาหกรรมแห่งประเทศไทย (ส.อ.ท.) พร้อมด้วยนายอรุณ เอี่ยมสุรีย์ ประธานสถาบันเศรษฐกิจและการลงทุนไทย-จีน และคณะกรรมการบริหาร ส.อ.ท. และสมาชิกกลุ่มอุตสาหกรรม ได้ให้การต้อนรับนายอู๋ จื้ออู่ อัครราชทูตและนางสาวจาง เซียวเซียว ที่ปรึกษาฝ่ายเศรษฐกิจและการค้า สถานเอกอัครราชทูตจีน ประจำประเทศไทย เพื่อหารือภาพรวมสถานการณ์การค้าระหว่างไทยกับจีน รวมถึงข้อเสนอแนะแนวทางการแก้ปัญหาภาพลักษณ์ของนักธุรกิจจีนในประเทศไทย เพื่อส่งเสริมความร่วมมือด้านเศรษฐกิจ การค้าและการลงทุน ณ ห้องประชุม PTT (1012) ส.อ.ท.
ทั้งนี้ ส.อ.ท. ได้ตระหนักถึงกระแสข่าวเชิงลบของนักธุรกิจและสินค้าจีนในประเทศไทย โดยเฉพาะด้านการแข่งขัน ของผู้ประกอบการไทยในห่วงโซ่อุปทาน (Supply Chain) ของอุตสาหกรรมที่นักลงทุนจีนเข้ามาลงทุน เช่น อุตสาหกรรมยานยนต์ อุตสาหกรรมชิ้นส่วนและอะไหล่ยานยนต์ อุตสาหกรรมเหล็ก เป็นต้น
นอกจากนี้ ยังได้มีการหารือแลกเปลี่ยนความเห็นเรื่องมาตรฐานสินค้าจีนในไทย การถ่ายทอดเทคโนโลยีและการพัฒนากำลังคน ในการที่อุตสาหกรรมได้รับอานิสงส์จากการย้ายฐานการผลิตของจีน ซึ่ง ส.อ.ท. ยินดีที่จะร่วมแก้ไขปัญหาภาพลักษณ์ของนักธุรกิจจีนในไทย สร้างความสัมพันธ์ที่ดีร่วมกันในอนาคตและร่วมส่งเสริมความร่วมมือทางธุรกิจและสร้างโอกาสที่เป็นประโยชน์ต่อนักลงทุนไทยและจีนต่อไป
On Friday, July 12, 2024, Mr. Kriangkrai Theeranukul, Chairman of the Federation of Thai Industries (FTI), along with Mr. Arun Eiamsuri, Chairman of the Thai-Chinese Economic and Investment Institute, the FTI Executive Committee, and industry group members welcomed Mr. Wu Zhiwu, the Chinese Ambassador, and Ms. Zhang Xiaoxiao, Economic and Trade Counselor at the Chinese Embassy in Thailand, to discuss the overall trade situation between Thailand and China, as well as recommendations on addressing the perception issues of Chinese businessmen in Thailand to enhance cooperation in economic, trade, and investment sectors at the PTT meeting room (1012) of FTI.
In this regard, FTI has acknowledged the negative news regarding Chinese businessmen and products in Thailand, particularly concerning competition from Thai operators in the supply chain of industries where Chinese investors have entered, such as the automotive industry, automotive parts and components industry, and the steel industry, among others.
Furthermore, there were discussions on standards for Chinese products in Thailand, technology transfer, and human resource development as the industry benefits from the relocation of production bases from China. FTI is willing to jointly address the perception issues of Chinese businessmen in Thailand, build positive relationships for the future, and promote business cooperation and create beneficial opportunities for Thai and Chinese investors going forward.
