เมื่อวันที่ 14 มิถุนายน 2567 นายอรุณ เอี่ยมสุรีย์ ประธานสถาบันเศรษฐกิจและการลงทุนไทย- จีน สภาอุตสาหกรรมแห่งประเทศไทย (ส.อ.ท.) เข้าร่วมการประชุมหารือการเยือนประเทศจีนของนายมาริษ เสงี่ยมพงษ์ รัฐมนตรี กระทรวงการต่างประเทศอย่างเป็นทางการครั้งแรกหลังจากการเข้ารับตำแหน่ง โดยมีกำหนดเดินทางระหว่างวันที่ 7-9 กรกฎาคม 2567 เพื่อหารือความร่วมมือทวิภาคี รวมถึงแลกเปลี่ยนมุมมองทางด้านการต่างประเทศ โดยมี นายปิยภักดิ์ ศรีเจริญ อธิบดีกรมเอเชียตะวันออก เป็นประธานในที่ประชุม พร้อมด้วยหน่วยงานภาครัฐบาลและเอกชนเข้าร่วม ณ ห้องประชุม 3 กระทรวงการต่างประเทศ
ที่ประชุมได้หารือและติดตามประเด็นต่างๆ ที่เกี่ยวข้องกับการค้า การลงทุน การเข้ามาลงทุนของผู้ประกอบการจีนในไทย การสร้างความร่วมมือด้านห่วงโซ่อุปทาน (Supply Chain) การนำเข้าสินค้าจากจีน รวมถึงหารือโอกาสของผู้ประกอบการไทยที่จะได้ประโยชน์จากการเข้ามาลงทุนของนักลงทุนจีนในไทยที่มีแนวโน้มเพิ่มมากขึ้น และการสร้างดุลทางการค้าระหว่าง 2 ประเทศร่วมกัน
On June 14, 2024, Mr. Arun Iamsuree, Chairman of the Thai-Chinese Economic and Investment Institute at the Federation of Thai Industries (FTI), participated in a meeting to discuss the upcoming visit to China by Mr. Maris Singamphong, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, marking his first official visit since taking office. The trip is scheduled from July 7 to July 9, 2024, to discuss bilateral cooperation and exchange views on foreign affairs. The meeting was chaired by Mr. Piyapak Srijaroen, Director-General of the Department of East Asian Affairs, and included both government and private sector representatives at Meeting Room 3, Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The meeting addressed and followed up on various issues related to trade, investment, and the influx of Chinese investors into Thailand. It also focused on building cooperation in the supply chain, the import of goods from China, and the opportunities for Thai entrepreneurs to benefit from the increasing investments of Chinese investors in Thailand, as well as the mutual trade balance between the two countries.
