เมื่อวันอังคารที่ 28 พฤษภาคม 2567 นายเกรียงไกร เธียรนุกุล ประธานสภาอุตสาหกรรมแห่งประเทศไทย (ส.อ.ท.) เข้าร่วมเปิดบูธศูนย์อุตสาหกรรมฮาลาลไทยในงาน THAIFEX-Anuga Asia 2024 โดยได้รับเกียรติจาก นางสาวพิมพ์ภัทรา วิชัยกุล รัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงอุตสาหกรรม พร้อมด้วย ดร.นลินี ทวีสิน ผู้แทนการค้าไทย ร่วมกันตัดริบบิ้นเปิดบูธศูนย์อุตสาหกรรมฮาลาล โดยมีหน่วยงานในกระทรวงอุตสาหกรรม และหน่วยงานที่เกี่ยวข้อง รวมถึงสถาบันอาหาร ร่วมเป็นพันธมิตร ณ ศูนย์แสดงสินค้าและการประชุมอิมแพ็ค เมืองทองธานี
ภารกิจของศูนย์อุตสาหกรรมฮาลาลไทย คือ การขับเคลื่อนงานตามนโยบาย และแผนปฏิบัติการพัฒนาอุตสาหกรรมฮาลาลไทยให้บรรลุเป้าหมาย รวมถึงติดตามและประเมินผล ส่งเสริมการค้าระหว่างประเทศผ่านการขยายตลาดการค้า สินค้าและบริการฮาลาลทั้งในและต่างประเทศ โดยเร่งเปิดตลาดสินค้าฮาลาลในภูมิภาคต่างๆ ทำการประชาสัมพันธ์ จัดแสดงสินค้า จัดทำบันทึกความเข้าใจกับประเทศหรือกลุ่มประเทศที่มีศักยภาพ ตลอดจนแก้ไขปัญหา บูรณาการการดำเนินงาน ยกระดับความสามารถในการแข่งขันของผู้ประกอบการฮาลาลไทย ซึ่งในระยะแรกศูนย์ฯ จะดำเนินงานภายใต้สถาบันอาหาร โดยจะมีการขับเคลื่อนทำตลาดต่างประเทศและบูรณาการความร่วมมือกลุ่มฮาลาลที่มีทั้งอาหาร สิ่งทอ และ Wellness รวมทั้งควบคุมมาตรฐานการผลิต โดยในอนาคตมุ่งหวังให้ศูนย์พัฒนาฮาลาลเป็นตัวขับเคลื่อนให้ประเทศไทยเป็นหนึ่งในอาเซียนหรือฮับด้านฮาลาล
ทั้งนี้ กิจกรรมที่จะดำเนินการภายใต้ศูนย์ฯ คือ การจัดทำระบบข้อมูลสารสนเทศอัจฉริยะอุตสาหกรรมฮาลาล รวมไปถึงส่งเสริมการค้าระหว่างประเทศ พัฒนาการผลิตและมาตรฐานอุตสาหกรรมฮาลาลไทย

On Tuesday, May 28, 2024, Mr. Kriangkrai Thiennukul, Chairman of the Federation of Thai Industries (FTI), attended the opening of the Thai Halal Industry booth at THAIFEX-Anuga Asia 2024. The event was honored by the presence of Ms. Pimpartha Wichayakhul, Minister of the Ministry of Industry, alongside Dr. Nalinee Taveesin, Thai Trade Representative, who jointly cut the ribbon to inaugurate the Thai Halal Industry booth. Various agencies from the Ministry of Industry and related organizations, including the Institute of Food, participated as partners at the Impact Exhibition and Convention Center, Muang Thong Thani.
The mission of the Thai Halal Industry Center is to drive operations according to policies and action plans for the development of the Thai halal industry to achieve its goals, including monitoring and evaluating results, promoting international trade through the expansion of halal goods and services in both domestic and international markets. This includes the swift opening of halal product markets in various regions, conducting public relations activities, showcasing products, establishing memorandums of understanding with countries or groups of countries with potential, as well as resolving issues and integrating operations to enhance the competitiveness of Thai halal operators. Initially, the center will operate under the Institute of Food and will drive international market activities and integrate cooperation among the halal sectors, including food, textiles, and wellness, while controlling production standards. In the future, the center aims to position Thailand as a leading hub for halal in ASEAN.
Furthermore, activities to be carried out under the center include the development of an intelligent information system for the halal industry, as well as promoting international trade, and enhancing production and quality standards for the Thai halal industry.
For those interested, the THAIFEX-Anuga Asia 2024 exhibition can be visited at Challenger 1-3 and IEC Hall 5-12 at the Impact Exhibition and Convention Center, Muang Thong Thani. The business negotiation days are scheduled from May 28 to June 1, 2024 (10:00 AM - 6:00 PM), and the retail sale day is June 1, 2024 (10:00 AM - 8:00 PM).
