เมื่อวันศุกร์ที่ 17 พฤษภาคม 2567 นายกริช อึ้งวิฑูรสถิตย์ ประธานสภาธุรกิจไทย-เมียนมา สภาอุตสาหกรรมแห่งประเทศไทย (ส.อ.ท.) เข้าร่วมเป็นวิทยากรในงานสัมมนาหัวข้อ “CLM เพื่อนบ้านและสนามการค้ากับโอกาสที่มั่นคง” ซึ่งเป็นการจัดสัมมนาภายในงาน SUBCON Thailand 2024 ณ ศูนย์นิทรรศการและการประชุมไบเทค กรุงเทพฯ โดยมีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อสร้างความรู้ ความเข้าใจให้แก่ผู้ประกอบการไทยในการขยายตลาดการค้า การลงทุนไปยังตลาดของประเทศเพื่อนบ้านที่มีความคล้ายคลึงทางด้านวัฒนธรรม รวมทั้งที่นิยมสินค้าจากประเทศไทย เพื่อให้เกิดการลงทุนไทยในประเทศเป้าหมาย ได้แก่ กัมพูชา สปป.ลาว และเมียนมา
ทั้งนี้ นายกริช ได้กล่าวถึงความท้าทายในด้านต่างๆ ของนักลงทุนไทยที่ต้องการลงทุนในประเทศเมียนมา อาทิเช่น ความเชื่อมั่น นโยบายภาครัฐ ช่องทางการขนส่งสินค้า และการปรับตัวของนักลงทุน โดยต้องคำนึงถึงการวิเคราะห์ข่าวสารที่ได้รับ เพื่อให้ภาคเอกชนเกิดความเชื่อมั่นในการมองหาโอกาส ปรับแผนธุรกิจและบริหารความท้าทายต่างๆ ในการลงทุนในประเทศเมียนมาต่อไป
On Friday, May 17, 2024, Krich Ungvithunsathit, Chairman of the Thai-Myanmar Business Council of the Federation of Thai Industries (FTI), participated as a speaker in the seminar titled “CLM Neighbors and Trade Field with Secure Opportunities,” which was organized during the SUBCON Thailand 2024 event at the BITEC Exhibition and Convention Center, Bangkok. The aim of the seminar was to enhance understanding and knowledge among Thai entrepreneurs regarding market expansion and investment opportunities in neighboring countries with similar cultural traits, as well as those that favor products from Thailand, to foster Thai investment in target countries, namely Cambodia, Laos, and Myanmar.
Mr. Krich highlighted the various challenges faced by Thai investors looking to invest in Myanmar, such as confidence, government policies, transportation logistics, and investor adaptability. He emphasized the importance of analyzing information received to build private sector confidence in seeking opportunities, adjusting business plans, and managing the various challenges of investing in Myanmar.
