ส.อ.ท. พบกระทรวงดิจิทัลฯ หารือการสนับสนุนเกมไทยให้ยั่งยืนในระดับนานาชาติFTI Meets with the Ministry of Digital Economy and Society to Discuss Support for Sustainable Thai Games at the International Level

On October 15, 2024, Mrs. Pimjai Leeissaranukul, Vice President of the Federation of Thai Industries (FTI) and Chairwoman of the Creative Industry and Soft Power Development Institute (CISPI), along with Mr. Amrit Franzen, Chair of the Game Development Working Group, and the relevant committee members and working group members, including Mr. Panon Thitavanro, Dr. Wirat Chatdarong, Mr. Sitthichai Thepphaiphun, Dr. Narun Sirisanthana, and Mr. Sarunpat Sereewattanachai, met with Professor Wisit Wisitsora-at, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Digital Economy and Society, to discuss support for Thai games to be sustainable at the international level at the Ministry of Digital Economy and Society.

During the discussion, the Ministry of Digital Economy and Society agreed that the Digital Economy Promotion Agency (depa) should collaborate in supporting CISPI of FTI and co-establish a working group to promote the development of the Thai game industry. They are also willing to support related legislation.

Additionally, depa and CISPI will prepare a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to support the development of the Thai game industry by providing assistance in all dimensions, including opportunities for operators, access to funding, and activities to enhance both demand and supply access for games, as well as developing personnel in the Thai game industry.
